Well I have just orderd one and with the 9x multi will be interested in how it clocks.

Got a shiny new AWD9MAX and some 950mhz rated geil so should be fun...all i need now is a decent HS

This would suit my other kit down to the ground, 9x400, 1066 strap(?), 4:5 on the Ram, ohh... so tempting

Gonna order myself one soon, really hope they clock well as it seems the final overclock will be cpu limited with this chip

Do most E6300 overclocks get limited by the max FSB of the board or the max speed of the CPU? If it's the max FSB of the board then I can see the value of the 4300, otherwise there'd be no point right?

I think the majority of the time it is motherboard fsb and ram that normally limits the end result of the E6300, hence why the E4300 appeals to me

It has a 9x multi which means high clocks at less FSB

eg, 6300 7x 500 = 3.5ghz

4300 9x 445 = 4ghz

so a modest 400 FSB mobo clock would see you 3.6ghz

most C2D mobo's will do 400 mhz FSB without breaking a sweat.

It depends on the chips though.

I intend to pump vcore through and see how far it goes under water and phase

So from the above post it clocks as well as an E6600, but with half the cache. So we can expect about a 16-17 sec SuperPi. Why would anyone buy anything else. I really don't understand Intel's marketing.
