Ring rust is real, but cardio that can't last 2 round is a joke. Thing is Mayhem went 5 rounds against Shields and didn't gas this bad.

He is much better than he showed in this fight, but seems Dana isn't even sure he will give him another shot from some of the things he has been saying.

Good performance from Bisping, would have liked to see him get a proper finish though. He should have been able to the state Mayhem was in.

On a different note Dodson looked awesome! The lil dude has some serious power!

Dana seems to be more understanding than most that you can get "UFC jitters" and an adrenalin dump, I've seen amateurs with cardio for days gas hard in under a minute due to it. Mayhem will be fine and if you look at round 1 it's clear that a calm Miller would destroy Bisping 99 times out of 100.

Yea, rematch in a few fights time would be nice.

The adrenaline dump thing is baaaad, my first tournament I gassed in my third fight I think because of it. Normally I can go for about 30mins against different opponents, during that comp I'd fought for just over 8mins and was lifeless.

I want more of miller, hopefully dana can see the promise of round 1 and keep him in it.

really ?
other than having him down for like 1:30 of the 1st round he didnt seem to land many clean shots, and when he had him down with a triangle around his legs, he didn't really do anything other than sit there.
maybe i need to re watch it but it wasn't really dominating 1st round.

miller is better than he showed but i dont think he would destroy bisping even 50% of the time

Also does any one think the smaller cage made them use more energy ? by not really being able to backup etc.
once miller and bisping were in, it really did seem so small. wasnt to bad with the smaller fighters doh

Miller has lost everytime he's faced any UFC calibre fighters he's better than the showed last night but he's a middleweight gatekeeper at best

A little personality goes a long way and Miller has plenty of it; if Dan Hardy can lose 4 straight and still stay with the promotion then I'm sure Miller will get another chance to prove himself.

Yea I saw that! Crazy 7 grand! Don't think I'd ever put that kind of money on a fight!

Was on the original thread when it started on sherdog :)

7k loss and im sure he wont be back for a while posting but u know money today money gone tommorow, if he had won he would have had the best xmas ever.....

But guess not

I guessed that dodson would win... and bisping, dispite dodson being a major underdog.

Just gutted didnt bet shoulda gone big as 7k guy lol

A calm Miller would have a fair shot at it but he'd need to work his gameplan rather than try trade with a superior striker.

Bisping is underated, I'd like to see him fight with some of the big boys in the division to see where he stands.

Bisping has never fought anybody capable of wrestle****ing him, I'd like to see how he does against Munoz or Sonnen, possibly even Maia? Although I don't see Maia having much chance because I doubt he'd be able to get the fight to the ground. Maybe Bisping vs Cung Le?

I'd like Maia to try Bisping. Would be fun to watch, Maia stand up is improving and he has the take downs to get Bisping to the floor and nicely tie him up.
And its not like Bisping has the single shot power like Nate which floored Maia (thats not saying anything against Bispings stand up, its is very nice crisp accurate just not one shot kill type).

btw does anyone know why Jimi Manuwa declined a ufc contract? old news i know, im just curious why they would reject the ufc, i dont watch cage rage so i dont know his story, i just know hes a bit of a beast :p

Wants more experience first is what I heard

He's fought Hamill and Rashad Evans, both of whom couldn't keep him down. He has pretty impressive takedown defence and when he is down he always manages to get up. As much as I'm not a Bisping fan, he is no slouch. He didn't look great against Miller and seemed to gas a bit too but then he caught his breath and took Miller apart. It's not a big win for him, I don't even know where Miller sits in any rankings, definitely nowhere near top 10. Bisping was pretty honest straight after the fight with Rogan, then he ruined it all with his post fight comments outside the octagon about how he's only really lost once against Henderson.

Dana should just give him a straight up title contendership fight against one of the top dogs in the division and see if he rises to the occasion. He's had what, 14 or so fights in the UFC and still nowhere near a title shot. Either Dana wants to save his best British fighter, or they don't think he can compete at the top.

Awesome finale fights, that was one sick armbar!

He has lost to any big name he has been given Evans, Silva and Henderson. Don't get me wrong there is no shame losing to any of them they have all held belts at some point.

I don't like him, but he is a talented fighter but I don't think he will ever hold the belt at MW or any other weight actually. An middleweight is the weakest division.

He certainly won't be winning the belt whilst the likes of Munoz, Sonnen and Silva are about, that's for sure.
