MOTM Pirlo does have some rather sexy through balls. His defending isn't too bad either!

That would suit me perfectly. Though I guess more people would just have one team if its just via trade/match coins than luck with packs. EA wont be doing it though!

I'm really loving MOTM Pirlo, he's pretty immense in CDM, has good interceptions and close ball control, never misplaces a pass or lose possession. With Willian's pace them two make a great CDM pairing.

I'm also really enjoying Man Utd's Kagawa after initially finding him terrible, he has very good close control and has good through balls too, his shooting lacks power but his movements for 1-2 passing is so good that he gets into the box quickly and just finesse's it in with ease.
 
I have 44c to my name. Tough times ahead.

Struggling to keep my contracts/fitness up and having to deal with injuries and red cards too.

NIF Adebayor is so good. I've only ever used his IF/SIF card but I am enjoying his NIF just as much. Still a beast in the air and feels amazing to control. His 77 pace feels more like 85 at times.

Are you getting to use MOTM Pirlo's long shots? One of the best in the game but at CDM, is he getting upfield enough to bang a few in? I've only used Pirlo as a CAM/CF in this game.

I failed big time with UTD Kagawa.

I had TIF Pirlo before and loved him for a short passing game.

Defensively though... slooooowwww. Glad you're making do because he is brilliant in possession.

Also Maicosuel - nice idea, but he is too good. Need a silver there!

Did him and Willians come on a BOGOF deal for Udinese? :p
 
a guy just sent me a message saying 'so lucky' despite me winning 3-1 whilst being on the phone where his only shot on target was because I had put the controller down... lawl.

I've had a few long shots with him, good shots but sitting at CDM means shooting is rare but I bought him for keeping possession and spraying passes to my skillers so that's fine.

The MOTM Pirlo doesn't seem that slow and as he stays back all the time he's never out of position so pace isn't an issue.

Too good? Trying to keep the Midfield rating below 80 eh? ;)
Maicosuel came from Botafago and Willians from Flamengo so I'm guessing.....no. :p
 
How good is Pirlo as a CDM? Ive always discounted him because of his pace, but I could put him into my new squad. Though Ive just replaced TOTY De Rossi with TOTY Gustavo. Just like the idea of a decent passer/long shooter sitting at CDM...

I was thinking the same reading this, but not sure how the back 3 & Khedira alone would really handle defensive duties, don't really recall Pirlo really getting many tackles in at all :(
 
Pirlo isn't that fast but with 74 acceleration and his positioning I don't think he needs to be that fast. He isn't a great tackler if I'm honest but with 82 interceptions he's good enough to break up play. I'm not sure how great he would be playing CDM in 3-5-2 though mainly because you need either fast or tall CDM to act as a defender but with 4-2-3-1 he doesn't need to defend all he needs to do is shield the back four which he does very well.
 
Hmmm I guess Ill try him 'next year', lets hope FIFA13 deals with 4man defences better. Locked down my final teams and just picking up my last couple of upgrades once things sell

Wasted all my coins on buying and selling teams. Then theres buying formation cards. Not to mention I always sell my players really cheap to just get rid of them quickly.

Plus, EA Tax. :mad:

Now I am just trying to survive by winning games. If I lose, I am usually screwed for coins. :(

My team costs over 250k. Rooney being 130k of that.
