Obviously the impact engine isn't perfect, but I really love it and no doubt the bugs will be gone in the final version. It's these (fairly) small things that polish the game really well.
The ball physics have a new feel to them as well. When you take long shots, for example, they don't always go to the same part of the goal like on previous FIFA games. Players can strike the ball at a variety of different angles too.

Played FIFA 11 UT for the first time in ages yesterday - my god does it play like a Fisher Price toy compared to 12 - amazed how different they are all just on the basis on a slower speed/accel differences and spilting defending over 2 buttons instead of one. Impact Engine does worry me where it might be the only thing that decides games rather than players skill...
Not sure if I love the new changes as they are for the best or if they are just different for the sake of it - definitely going to be one that will take time to be good at let alone master.
Think more people will give up on it sooner rather than later though - it just doesnt give that instant gratification we have been used to in past FIFAs, but when I score a goal it does feel more like PES (Im more in control of the move and the actual shot)...
Hopefully get a start on UT tonight - doubt it though, theres no real rush and its not like you can do any real trading (wont have enough coins to kick off the market dynamics). Does that mean you cant webapp 11UT after today?

I'm liking the impact engine for now, but for its comic hilarity in cases as well as the genuine improvement it seems to make!
Also, damn you all for talking about LT+B doing some fancy shots off crosses etc.. I lost an hour of last night making Ibrahimovic & co do some funky stuff! Best was Pato's "drop down to sitting" header

I doubt it, I'll get nothing of value, FUT 11 was probably my lucky year and in 12 i'll get nothing but turds dropped on me from a great height!
The worrying thing really is getting in from work at 5 and onto the PC without having a little nap

But I dont like the system at all, what was wrong with the old one? It seems like they're changing things for the sake of changing
