*** The Official FIFA 13 Thread ***

Played a few games before left for work , just friendlies ,Normally I never play random people because of people quitting but was surprised when I won a game and some guy sent me a msg saying well done, Normally I just get abuse on cod lol.

Nice team mate. Any faults? How doe the front three sit? Quite close so like having 3 ST's?

Not really. Luiz and Pepe are fairly quick for CBs, and Terry has great positioning and making the crucial tackles despite his pace. If you're not concentrating you can let them slip through, especially if you let them run at you. You have to be quite aggressive with your defending.

With the forwards, they drift in towards eachother and outwards too. Although usually it's the LM/RM that rush out wide for crossing. It means that I have a lot of attacking power, lots of options to switch up the play, and Hazard/Sanchez are good at getting round players/avoiding challenges.

Soldado is a bit hit and miss though, it would help if he were a few inches taller, and maybe quicker. A less pacey forward probably plays to that strength in terms of their positioning, but Soldado tends to play like he's got loads of it. Torres, I reckon, would have that little bit extra. But we'll see.

Song is big, strong and just generally awesome. Lampard is pretty good. Ashley Young has improved quite a bit this year, stronger and more agile for sure. Di Maria is fairly solid, although he does seem to be anonymous the few times I've played with him.

Cech is pretty decent as usual. Not tried any others other than Schezney, but he was just terrible.

Edit: It is a fun formation, but is dangerous if you're not good defensively. I won't say I'm the best, or even close, but it does force you to get 'better' as you'll be trashed if you're not.

Falcao or Benezema for the last spot? Should have the coints in about 45 mins

I am just looking now and am I right in saying you use MSP to buy Fifa Points to buy packs?

If so it looks like I will buy the normal edition tomorrow and buy some MSP. Unless anyone knows of a better deal?

also if anyone has any City players bar the expensive ones I will buy them from you tomorrow :) people like Nastasic, Rodwell, Garcia and so on unless they are crazy expensive as well?

The problem with 3 at the back formations on 12 other than 352 were the CM's, 352 uses CDM's so they track back. All the other 3 at the back tactics you were caught out in the middle. Can't see this changing in 13 and I can't be bothered with custom tactics.

I see your point. I've found it seems to vary between midfielders themselves. Lampard tends to move forward a lot, but he always manages to get back into position and does his fair bit of backtracking. Song tends to stay back a lot more, while bringing him forward benefits from his strength and height.

Plus, if you make sure you don't bring them forward, they'll do it a lot less.

I found that with more attacking CM/CAMs, they do tend to get caught out forward as they take their time moving back into position, but a couple of defensive CMs does seem to work.

I take it I'm not the only one with errors galore on FUT/web app when searching for certain things? Absolute joke at times.

Having a nightmare with it too, I've given up searching just now. Only keep going on to re-list auctions.

Thought the web app would be fairly decent without silly bugs like this.

Bought adam johnson on auction for 5k sold for 7.5k buy now, beginning to get into trading made a hefty profit today. Auction resets suck though.

Really? He was embarrassingly bad in 12.

What is crossing / heading like in 13, is it improved? It was rubbish in 12 because smaller, quicker players were actually better at scoring as they would find space better or dart in front of the CB at the last second; big, strong strikers were so disappointing in comparison.
