And also The "90th Minute" can be 4-5 ingame minutes depending on added injury/stoppage time, so you are usually 2-5x more likely to score at 45 or 90 compared to any other minute.

I think a lot of it is just the same as any real life team would feel, almost an "injustice" and conceeding at '90....
My god, insightful and informative in the same post - wheres the real TimBrad?!? ;)
For the record my first FIFA13 goal was scored by Bendtner, an epic finesse shot from outside the area that looked like it was going wide...but just clipped the inside of the post and went in - still the best player in the game!
Now if thats isnt evidence of a scripted goal I dont know what is :p. Bendtner didnt even fall over I bet!

Guess you guys dont get fantasy football either then - all UT is, but a playable version, where your squad limit is whatever you put into the game via trading or personal wealth...

I really dont understand what all the fuss is about for UT. Never been into it

You heard of Pokemon? UT kinda itches that "gotto get them all" itch.

Exactly Tim; You remember the 90th minute goals which happen against you, and they are more common due to the 90th minute not actually being 90 minutes. But anywhere up to 5 extra minutes, which all count. So statiscally speaking, as time has said, you are more likely to SEE more goals scored in the 45th / 90th minute than you are in say, the 83rd minute.

Also, human mntality only remembers the games in which you did conceed, or score the 90th minute goal. Rather than the games in which you didn't. That's how we work.

Again, it's the fact that you remember the goals as they are right at the end of the game, rather than remembering the games which nothing happened. It's how we are conditioned.

For FIFA 13, start a fact sheet. How many times you conceeded on the 90th minute, compared to how many times you didn't. I don't think it would be a huge difference and I'm 100% convince that there's no scripting around this.

Good post... but I have a feeling in game stats of players are boosted some what in the final minutes of a game. Its like, I can have 15+ shots on target and not score but come the 45th or 90th minute, it is easier to score for me. I remember scoring a volley with Lucio from outside the box from a corner in the 90th minute.

Maybe you are right but I still think theres something going on.

nothing I have seen has made me feel like buying fifa 13 played 12 and have a 5 mil worth squad / coins etc but haven't played in over a month thanks to day z.

What is new and exciting about fifa 13 then ? have they even added a league mode for ultimate team ?

I don't see how it could be scripted, or boosted.

I can rememebr missing chances in the final minutes, even though I've been against the run of play. I can rememebr missing chances when being with the run of play too...

I think it's just one of those special moments and the idea of 90+ minute goals has grown through the net and people chatting into a big deal, when really it isn't.

Its Fifa 13. A new Fifa. Whats there not to get exicted about?

From what I've heard, its feels completely different to 12... better... much better.

and no Nilmar.

Bleh will be same old boring game everyone playing lame 6-0-3 formations and most players lagging because they are on shared wireless time to sell the xbox methinks.I think once you've done one ultimate team you've done them all bring on the next gen consoles already.

They should have removed custom formations and tactics so people cant go ultra defensive counter attack and make every game like watching paint dry.

Its not though, its different gameplay. Its said to be slower in UT, like it is in H2H. The AI in GK's and defenders is improved. Attackers now stay on side and make better runs. Theres so much to look forward to.

It's not so much only 45th/90th minute goals, often I've been playing well, score a goal and get pegged back instantly, i.e. straight from the opponent's kick off. I'm not playing any worse, the other guy has been struggling to score all game, and then there just seems like a conveniently perfect sequence of events from that kick off. And when this happens in the 45th/90th minute it just seems all the more suspect...

I've witnessed this too tbh although it could just be you slacking off slightly because your on top

I think it's not the game it's psychological, sometimes you slip a bit and your opponent punishes you, typical time to be a bit lazy is after a goal, you relax slightly and your opponent gets agressive as hell, hence goal often results.
