*** The Official FIFA 13 Thread ***

Web App still down, jeebus, somebody must have screwed something!

On the subject of a reset, I wouldn't be overly upset, my best two players I got from backs was Nigel De Jong and Dagoberto.

Really really want Sterling, for a silver card, he looks amazing.

I just hope people realise not to waste so much money on FUT as its readily apparent EA will do the least amount of governance to get something out and when it is out and you get hacked theyll just give you empty promises and string you along getting it sorted.

over on ea forums it says there will be no reset and the hackers will be banned and that in time when the game is released the market will straighten itself out.

i cant work out if this is a good thing or not if all these top players are flooded on the market the only way they will sell is cheaper. therefore people that cant buy millions of packs might be able to afford a messi or ronaldo i never got to try messi in 12 and only thanks to peanuts by giving me ronaldo i got to use him.

im deffo not going mad this year gonna be maybe 5000-6000 points when game comes out and then just try and trade just wanna build a nice team this year to play season mode.

There wont be that many top top players generated to really impact the market price of them long term. If I got Ronaldo at 200 coins, Id still put him up for as much as I could get irrelevant of how cheaply I got him. Id happily sit on him til theres coin out there to afford him, how the market normally deals with pulling such players out of packs...

Also Ive learnt to ignore EA forums, wait until a dev on twitter says the same, I just wouldnt trust the forum mods being in the complete know for such a game breaking gliitch so early in its life cycle.

It should be reset, of course it should.

These players which have cheated then sold top players for 200 BIN have effectively handed out freebies for those lucky ones who picked them up.

Without knowing the true scale (and I don't think EA would know it either) of who has gotten hold of packs by effectively hackign the web app, then the only fair way to do it, is by doing a reset.

I really am hoping for a reset. I made some money on the web app but i'm more than happy to start again. Knowing that loads of people will have Ronaldo and Messi come the early release has ruined it for me and spending my 6300 MS points just doesn't seem worth it :(

I will still play the game but I don't think i'll bother with purchasing packs with real money.

i was so hyped for the release but this has just killed it for me now.

Over-reaction much? Killed your hype because of a few cheaters? Doesn't seem worth spending 6300 points because of a few?

You'll get over it.

But should still be reset.

I don't think its an over reaction really. The cheaters will get banned but then the people that were lucky enough to get these players for cheap will be laughing and haven't spent a thing, thats what kills it for me. Whilst i spend money on it in the hope of getting so lucky.

Thanks for the input though :)

What real reason have EA got not to reset FUT? Not a single soul on here has said no to it so as a straw poll I could foresee the majority of FUTers that werent involved in the hack or the rewards of it would feel the same.

The only ones I could understand that wouldnt would be the people that picked up a top player very cheaply, but even then that defence is thin as its pretty obvious a 200 BIN Ronaldo is just too good to be true...

You have to remember that people in this thread are (mostly) rational adults, people who are against it will no doubt be immature kids and chavs which outnumber us.

I personally want the web app to be reset to make it fair and I like the excitement of opening packs and then being annoyed by the dross I get in them. :p

Been abit of a reader on the Fifa 12 & 13 thread for a while but never posted.
Could someone give me some pointers on whethered id be able to download and play the pre release on saturday.
