Such a stupid question I won't answer.Sorry for a stupid question!
But is this game worth £10?
YES! Course you could wait until late October when FM09 will be out. In other words YES if you've not played it or NO if you want to wait for FM09.

I suppose in a way that is actually an advantage as you know you need to replace nearly the whole team so you have a focus from the beginning whereas with the likes of Man Utd, Arsenal, Barcelona etc there isn't that problem of the entire team needing to be changed so you tend to look for players to improve the team where you can rather than need to change the whole team. They're the hardest of the 'big teams' to start off with imo.
Small transfer budget for what needs doing, and in need of almost the entire team bar a few players.
And the ones that are worth keeping, bar 3, are all too old to use for more than a season or two.
I think so yes. Check out SIGames' forum for any info on that.Bit of a bug?
Can you not afford to get both? I would. Keep Pirlo until he's too old and let Giovinco share the place in the team.Anyone got some thoughts on this:
Pirlo is 30 at the moment in my game, by the end of this season he'll be 31. So by 32-33 i'll have to look for a replacement.
A certain Giovinco has been made available for £20m.
Replace Pirlo early?
You could offer Sakho a new contract that is better than what he's on now and hope he's loyal.OH WTF!!!!??
Bolton have made an offer worth up to £6,500,000 for Arsenal's Mamadou Sahko.
Chairman Peter Hill-Wood felt this offer was too good to refuse and has decided to take matters into his own hands by accepting this bid etc etc etc.
WTF. **** off
I was going to make a joke about faith healers. He's destined to become a crap manager then?
At Utd I've got some young reserve team player who is the next Les Ferdinand.
I really do like the "Touted as the next..." feature though, I think it makes searching for players quite a bit more interesting. I had the next Clarence Seedorf and the next Raul, both turned out to be immense as well.
A Turkish player came through my youth system who was said to be the next <Insert Random Name Here>. I did a bit of googling and it turned out to be a famous Turkish international from the 1930's-'40's!
Albertini?[ASSE]Hinchy;11955177 said:Yeah I had a Les Ferdinand but he lost that title
Just been going through my youngsters and I have the next Albertini
Damn!barca got him and won't sell
Weegie?is there an updated database that lets you start from the end of the 2007/2008 season. Preferably pre-any transfer activity as that's the biggest part of the game for me. Would be nice to have all the promotions/relegations in place.
They were as it happens.Lol, and the keepers were quaking in their boots, I'm sure.
Vanden Borre was pretty good in FM05/06 I think wasn't he? Officially a DR but also pretty good at WBR, MR and even AMR.Vanden Borre has played well for me as a DM, as well as someone called Robbe Van Ruyskensvelde.
RVR is fairly young as well; I think he was dubbed the next someone when I first bought him, can't remember who it was, though, I just remember it being a decent player.
FM07?! You getting FM09 then?Sshhhh, don't tell anyone, but I'm still playing 07...
He's got immense stats and, as you said, can play pretty much anywhere on the right or centre.
Let me have a google for you. There should be an update for January.unless my google powers are wilting I can only see a Weegie update from December?
Ah. Not heard of him.[ASSE]Hinchy;11955534 said:Italian centre midfield playmaker... Played for Milan... Demetrio Albertini. Just bought another who is also considered the next Albertini.
Top stuff.Good plan sir! And it worked!
Again top stuff.Yup, patched up to date.
Eduardo? Are we talking Les Gooners ici? Silva? As in David Silva? As in the one with the £62m buyout fee? Unless he's signed a new contract with a higher minimum release fee I see no reason to give Valencia £75m PLUS a player! In other news, Valencia want £74.8 million plus Eduardo, for Silva- worth it?
wow, some impressive multi-tasking but really wanted one that was post end of season. No worries, I'll just wait for FM09.
Ouch! Did he not back the game up?My mates saved game got corrupted. He had been playing 07 for about a year straight and was up to 2039 or something stupid. Made me laugh anyway
Just out of interest. Anyone ever managed Hyypia from Liverpool? Another friend of mine had him playing till he was around 38 in the first team. His overall stats hardly decreased and his pace/acceleration stayed roughly around the same (already slow enough!)
I always feel sorry for the so called world class players from years gone by who end up playing at cranky clubs. Deco was at a first division side in England if i'm not mistaken and Gerrard was playing for Plymouth around the age of 36.
Ah well then.Yep, Gooner Eduardo. I have £96 million burning a hole in my pocket! Squad is currently:
GK: Fabianski / Ruffier
DL: Sakho / Traoré
DR: Sagna / Can't remember
DC: Richards / Breno
DC: Touré / Djourou
ML: Rosicky / Sergio Mota
MR: Arteta / Hleb
MC: Pirlo / Diaby
MC: Fabregas / Modric
FC: Podolski / Eduardo
FC: Van Persie / Adebayor
David Silva currently has a £106 million buy out clause, lol. Eduardo has been doing ok in the last 3 seasons, consistent when he does play but not spectacular, but keeps picking up random injuries. Looking for a decent right winger really, Arteta/Hleb are being average, meh! Hence I was wondering if £75m+ was worth it on Silva, as I only really need one player and I'd like it to be someone like him. Can you recommend any equivalents that aren't going to break transfer fee records across the universe?
Ooh I'm scared!Look me up in game for some friendlies, team name is Slightly Vicious.
Lol.You should be, the number of injuries I've given out and red cards received. I am in my Football Associations all time records for it, and only played 2 seasons
