Whappers I think youve just increased your enjoyment levels of racing games considerably.
If your using 5.1 then you should now consider a Buttkicker to give your racing games a bit of a big bang.
Buttkickers really add to the immersion as well even with a wheel stand.

ps3ud0 did you do the same recently or are you still mulling over it.

Thanks for the help. I was a little bit worried I had ordered the wrong thing when it talked about Xbox extension.

Yes, I am using 5.1 but I'm not sure I could be bothered going through the hassle, cost and my missus asking me why the chair is vibrating! :p

Thanks again! ;)

whappers i have DF GT wheel i enjoy it. it does make you feel more accomplished when you win races knowing u did it properly with a wheel and pedals. the GT Wheel with adjustable

Mr Latte one of my issues in GT5P is possibly the 900 degrees steering and counter steering, do you know if i can set my steering to 200 degrees in GT:P? cos the shifters are on the back of the wheel, unless i contort my hands wildly i cant manually change gears easily in corners:/¬!

No it cant be changed.
You can however try steering assist on/off and it should be possible to change the shifters to maybe different buttons yet still use the shifters.
Been a long time since I played.

After watching a huge plethora of videos as amazing as the game looks and trust me, words can't describe how much I'm looking forward to this! But... It still sounds a bit...well... crap?

The tyre screetching has been toned down (thank god) and it reflects road cars a lot better now. However engine sounds aren't special and even the simplest thing like the difference in tone between a 4 and 6pot engine is negligible. There's just not enough drama :o

will this still have the driving license tests at start of main game?

Below from the website...

Learning to Drive / Practicing

You can take free practice runs alone on the track. Great for learning difficult tracks and setting up your car.

What sort of set-up options do the cars have, anyone know?

I just ordered myself a Logitech Driving Force GT wheel + Wheel Stand Pro (Logitech version with Xbox extension for when I want to play Forza). Did I do good? :) lol
I really wanted one of these too, but my problem is that my PS3 is mounted about 5' off the floor (due to an ADHD 7-year-old) - which would mean an awful lot of trailing USB cable, even assuming you can get one 12' long!

I settled instead for a Logitech Driving Force Wireless which I know will be poop, but it should be better than a pad.

Also: Logitech G27 - why on earth is it PC only? Mind you, £320...
