Pootled around parts of the Cleveland Way this morning

Finally trying to get road worthy. My wife was actually fairly understanding. My shed is a huge sawdusty mess so figured it'd do more harm than good trying to do anything in there!

Still failing at separating the front pistons so can't get the front wheel properly seated. Had accepted failure and going to drop it off at a local shop later in the week.

Back wheel is swapped over though and rotating nicely. It's a lot of effort pumping up tyres with a hand pump!

Went out on my new bike today and ended up going too fast for my utter lack of ability and skinned my leg a like a tool :D. I love it though, the bike feels like a lighter version of my old mountain bike from when I was a kid with those pegs on the handlebars, just lighter and feels fine on the road. I think it will suit me nicely for what I want to do with it, it really is a bit of a Jack of all trades. I can commute on it occasionally in winter, comfortably enough, to then go and fall off it on a slightly bumpy trail! I do need to figure out what tyre pressures to run it at in different situations yet.

Hey all, thinking about getting a cheapish gravel bike. I already have a quite a few bikes (2x MTB, 2x Road, 1x single speed) but there are definite times when I want to combine road with some off road tracks and nothing fits the bill. Missus uses two of the bikes so have modded them for her to keep, my road bike ofc can't go off road and my MTB is a trail bike so awful on tarmac.

What about this? - https://www.halfords.com/bikes/adve...isi-adventure-bike---s-m-l-frames-452974.html

Won't be going for massive rides on it, or using it all the time as I like to mix things up, just 15/20 mile blasts around the countryside. I also get 10% off there.

Picked this up a couple of months ago just so I could avoid the roads a bit more and try use more of the Ridgeway! Mountain bike felt a bit overkill for quite a few of the sections around here and this is allowing me to link up more roads so I can explore more areas.

Posted this in the what have you bought thread.

Got this through C2W scheme (improve my tax situation) but also because I had an old heavy steel mountain bike that wasn't really enjoyable to ride. My eldest loves being on a bike so this is something I can now do which I'll actually enjoy.

I know this isn't top spec but tried a few bikes and just loved the design and feel of this bike. I live in the countryside so didn't want a full on mountain bike nor road bike do a gravel bike seemed like a sensible strategy.

Just building this up. Been off all my bikes since September as smashed my collarbone on my MTB and now have a metal plate and 6 screws holding it together. A bit more sedate gravel riding to build my strength (and balls) back up for more extreme riding later on in the year :)

Now that I've added some AlpKit Bomber Bars mine is Gravel Bike than it has ever been.

Ignore the mess of cables, I just want to try out this bar set up before tidying them up (think I've spotted I need to fix a gear cable before I ride it).
