And presumably we cant access the U.S. store with UK consoles.

Not worth the bother then, I am in Montana on launch day and didn't want to miss buying on day 1 as I did with all the other gta games.

You can, though you'd need to create a new PSN account though with the US as the location when you register in order to do so. More hassle than it's worth really.

What's the first thing you do when you play a new GTA game?
For me i like to play the main story through to completion, once finished i like to go around cruising, exploring, seeing what i can find, in the case of GTA IV i then try out the multiplayer which i couldn't put down for about two week's.

I have friends that buy the game do a few story missions then just start to cause havoc trying to escape from the Police, missing out on the main game then never play it again.

I always wanted to go off and explore first but was never able to do the whole map, this time it's what I am going to do first, probably all I will ever do, hahaha.

Probably do the first few missions to get into the swing of things and then just cruise around, learn the immediate area, find where shops are etc. If we can go to Chilliad straight away I will be doing, drive on all the backroads and then up to the top! Just generally act like a tourist :D

I don't think I completed the storyline on San Andreas for about a year after I bought it as I spent my time exploring and having gang wars. On GTA I've however, I found the story to be much more engrossing so I completed the main storyline in around 20 hours.

I really cannot wait for gta5 to arrive. They are the only games where I truly lose myself in them and can play them over and over.

Fixed.

Normally I spread the story out. Always start with the first couple of missions, but then before too long you normally get introduced to some other aspect of the game, like collecting cars, doing races, etc. So you have more and more things to do, so the story missions become less and less of what you're doing.

That's how you just end up being sucked in, with so much going on and so many things to do, and I never feel under any pressure to press on with the story.

After the usual intro mission I shall be stealing a car and driving to Mt. Chiliad. On the way I shall run over every single person I see, before ditching my car and getting a dirt bike or ATV at the base of the mountain, I will then ride to the top, find out what is in that shed, and do a backflip off the top to my death.

When I get out of the hospital, I'll probably go and play golf.

This is why I love these games so much.

SS's route does sound pretty good :)

I wonder if we'll see anything like the San Andreas Cargo Helicopter in V? Airlifting a friend in a car in MP and dropping him from mt Chiliad heights onto a "waiting/unsuspecting) 3rd player etc.. :)

Best to not overthink what you are going to do, being spontanius with your insanity is always fun!

But yep, want the Cargo Helicopter back, and want something that once made my 3 hour madness rampage in Saints Row 2 as fun as it was.....trucks with trailers!

Less than 2 months now, shame I have the next 6 weeks off from work and then I'm back when GTA is out! :(

LOL, I'm gonna be exploring and starting to map the areas to my brain...it's rather sad I know the GTAverse better than the real world. FML.

Just pre-ordered from Amazon. It's given me a dispatch estimate of the 16th September, arrival estimate of Fri 20th-Sat 21st  I remember pre-ordering GTA IV and it coming the day before release date. Any chance of that happening again? Any later than the 17th is unacceptable!

I've always got my pre-orders at least 1 day before off amazon GTAIV came 4 days early for me, so yes there is a chance ;)
