********* The Official GTA V (5) thread! *********

I've got both on order :).

Well there's a surprise. :p

No, waste of money. You'll be way too busy playing the game so by the time a guide would actually be useful it will already be rehashed on the web by a million people.

Agreed, I got the hardcover one for The Last Of Us and it is nice, but I also didn't get it to refer to constantly while playing the game.

Most of the fun in GTA5 will be from finding stuff yourself or from other people, rather than reading it all in a book, and any guides you do need for certain things will be all over the place online.

a lot of people just buy them as they're collectible rather than actually use them as guides. Some of them are really nicely put together. Not a collector myself but I can see why people might want to.

I was only considering it due to GTA:O and thinking that beyond GTA5 it be useful to have that, as I expect GTA:O being in my console for long periods at a time especially with updates and the like...

I hope you can get in and ride all the transport like the cable car and trains. What is the "transit line" supposed to be? A tram? A subway?

If you look at the map it runs round the city so would suggest it is that sort of thing :)

Interesting, I really want to know now why there is parachuting along the river to the south west of mount chiliad but nothing listed for actual mount chilliad.

Edit: Just noticed too, there is one in Grapeseed to the south east of Mount Chilliad. Does make me wonder whether it is a base jumping centre more than just a parachute.

I've just seen a NASCAR track :D

I'm really looking forward to this map, the more I see stuff the more it's growing in me. One thing I'm really starting to like the idea of is just one city, what's less boring than having to drive across a boring bridge to get to the other city, now anywhere we go will either be through awesome country side or the hustle bustle of the city. I also really can't wait fir the reintroduction of articulated lorries :D

Speculation that it maybe a horse racing track rather than a NASCAR track and perhaps indicating some sort of horse riding in.

If GTA Online is going to be dynamic though with more stuff added to it as times goes on, a printed guide is going to be out of date after a while.
