When online hits, it will be much easier. especially as a crew.

You can dump millions into a low stock, and then use your online crew to manipulate the shares. getting your story characters mega bucks. :p

I did read on a website somewhere to invest in 'gold' before the final mission. I didn't bother because I wasn't 100% convinced they meant gold coast so I left it. would have increased my wealth 10 fold though (although saying that I only had a 3 mill between them before the final heist which so wouldn't have made that much of a difference in the scheme of things.

AFAIK there were no hints whatsoever that gold coast would benefit from the heist, they're mentioned very briefly, but not in any sort of financial gain sort of way. Bad execution from rockstar imo, all the market will benefit is people that cheat by looking up guides!
 
Ok little disappointed... Hijacked an older rusty car. Took it to get a slick paint job but it just paint it a difrent colour with the rust still there :( also have an old VW camper in storage which I was looking forward to pimping it out.....
 
I thought it was one of the assassination missions that had you investing in Gold? I'm sure it was. Or does a heist affect it too? (I've not done the last heist yet).

The last heist affects a whole host of stocks.

I just booted up gta and then turned it off. Now I've finished the story I don't really know what to do on it :/
 
Anyone tried the burgershot > clucking bell method for stocks?

It's being rumored to be the fastest/best way so far for cash.

I'm not near an xbox to test it though.

invest in burgetshot (lower the better, duh) then head to the clucking bell depot and destroy trucks, employes etc.
 
For people who've finished the game and HAVEN'T got all the collectables yet:

I saw a very vague spoiler saying that some of the achievements can't be done (e.g Kifflom, Career Criminal) if you choose a certain option on the very last mission. If you choose the right option you can carry on as normal, insinuating if you don't then at least one of the characters might not be around to be used. Is that the case? Thanks!
 
So is it possible to make money from the stocks after completing all missions? Or will it take a long time?

Should I invest all my money on Lesters tips during his assassination missions?

yes, put micheals and trevs in aswell, you'll need to either save just before and find who to back then reload save and transfer monies, or find the post that list the ones to back

The consensus is pretty much to save all of the assassination missions until after the main story is complete so you can invest much more money after you get the tip from Lester.

It just doesn't seem to work, at least not on any noticable scale. I invested in burgershot, they werent at their lowest but they weren't highest either, sort of half way. I went and blew up 6 clucking bell lorries and even slaughtered the workforce in hairnets with a minigun. Nothing. I then invested in AirEmu, went to the airport blew up 3 flyus jumbos as well as a smaller plane and the towtruck that had flyus branding on it that I crashed into all the jumbos with. Not a single movement. It's rubbish. The only time I made money on the stock markets was the assisnation missions and a lucky bet that I put on when it was low and obviously it just went high all by itself, because if you look at the graphs they go high then low then high then low. I think any influence in game just happens to be a coincidence.

It's pretty obvious which option you should choose at the end and if you choose any option that impacts the ability to do all side missions then quite frankly you don't deserve to be able to do the side missions.
 
WTF to the max! I spotted a Groupe armoured truck so chased it and rammed it so much the driver basically hit the steering wheel and died (! :D), no police, no fuss. Awesome I think to myself but then another appears round the corner so throw the dead body out of the vehicle like a lorry driver with a prostitute and proceed to chase the 2nd truck only for it to forward flip on a curb and the driver and his colleague get out and call the cops, ran the driver over but forgot about the other guy who shot me as I tried to raid the 2nd truck.

So I'm killed in front of 2 armoured trucks and I had yet to loot either of them... fffuu!

BUT! After going out of the hospital I spent time driving round a bit incase another appeared and guess what I see parked up?
