Don't lob it out just yet. Sometimes it's not that hard to get them back to life. What make and model did you say it was again? For now though enjoy your new toy! Where did you get it from?
 
I am having a lot of fun! My left wrist and hand and even my lower arm ache (more than my finger tips, which is what I was expecting to hurt more) after a few minutes of play although it do eventually "warm up". I need to find some stretches to absent-mindedly do whilst working or something!

I've been trying out tabs for easy sounding riffs like Come As You Are, Adams Song by Blink 182 but weirdly my favourite is Hedwig's Theme (as in the Harry Potter films' opening music) as it involves a bit of movement but is still very much a novice tune!

I don't know why he was banned, saw someone mention it in this thread, seems like it was a whole forum ban.

He was a very active member of this forum, not just the guitar thread.. but not anymore. Wondering if he is ok.
 
Does it letter you DM him? Sometimes even with a ban it might just ping through to his email if he had that setting activated. (can't guarantee it, and depends whether the ban is total account closure or just preventing him logging-in and posting in any threads)

Ah that's cool to know, fair enough! He may have personal reasons for now coming back, and that's of course fine! Just thought in the first instance it was a bit.. weird potentially, as he was very active here. Glad to hear he is doing ok :)
 
I can’t make my mind up between the boss katana 50 or one of the yamaha trh amps. Inreally like the sound of the yamahas but they don’t seem to be compatible with a foot channel switch which is annoying for switching effects during songs. At least with the katsna you can buy one for about £40.

I have the Katana 100 and THR30ii.

They are very different. THR30iii is my go to practice amp. It sounds insanely good and the bluetooth is brilliant for practicing along with songs. I really can't fault it. There was an update available for it before Christmas, and since then it sounds amazing. Stereo effects, portable and even transportable with the battery. I love it.

Which THR are you looking at?

The Katana 50 has more effects and of course output.
