razr battery was pretty amazing managed to get 3 days out of it with moderate use

only trouble was i found the screen size a bit small so sold it on

a really well built and lovely phone though

now what to buy next lol
 
Yeah, the battery life looks great for it! Went on XDA thread a few months ago to see user opinions on it and people were getting up to 8 hours on screen time! :eek: :cool:

I thought the screens were the same size :confused: What about screen quality in terms of colours, whites etc.?


Wait for the HTC M7, Sony xperia Z or ZL or for the GS 4.

Then take your pick! :p


How did you find the performance on the whole for browsing, opening/loading apps etc. compared to the S?

the razr was really quick at doing everything -stock launcher was lovely and smooth

the soft buttons made the screen smaller

i preferred the colours and whites on the razr

tempted to have another go with a one x now to see if battery life has improved

i loved the screen on that

or maybe thinking a nexus 4 or s3

have owned all of the above but got rid at some stage to try something else

i would like the build quality of the nexus 4,razr i or the htc one s,the screen from the one x,the replaceable battery and micro sd from the s3,the battery life from the razr i and probably the os from the nexus :)
 
Ah yeah forgot about the on screen buttons!

What about the one XL or one X+? Both would have better battery life :)

Shame that the RAZR HD and MAXX aren't available here as it would also tick most of the boxes :(
 
Here are some better pics of the rock case on the S, tried getting photos of the bottom and top, unfortunately couldn't get the damn lumia 800 to focus properly! (great camera for some stuff but awful for other conditions :mad:)

Also, a skin for sense has been updated to work with sense V4+, has more of a stock android theme/feel, although very minor changes if you don't use any sense apps:

Tauren and Emu, how are you finding the custom rom scene?

Encountered any annoying niggles/problems like battery drain, phone slowing down and needing a reboot, apps not responding or force closing etc.?
 
Nothing really that has caused any major problems or for me to wanna change back to the HTC sense ROM. Although.... I can't get vanilla cm10 or miui ROM working.. Which is a bit odd as paranoid android ROM works fine! The speed of the ui is just so slick now there is no slowdown what so ever. I've encountered zero problems with apps force closing etc either. Signal seems to be about the same if not better. No wifi issues. No battery drain issues either. The ROM is almost perfect from my experience so far
 
@Nexus18 The Rock case looks awesome on the HOS and doesn't detract from the looks of the phone. You must be really pleased with it!

Think I'll try to get a custom rom on at some point in the next week or two.... although I need to get reading guides, watching videos first! (again :p) And then to find the time where I can sit down without any interruptions :p

Yup, loving it! :D

I still love the diztronic case, but as you are probably aware, I just didn't like the way it took away the sleek/minimal design/look of the front and how it felt compared to the MAO finish, it came to the point where I just ended up not using it at all and whilst the rock case still isn't as good for those 2 things (no case will be), it is much better and there is now at least some protection :)



How are you doing? Has your internet time limit been increased? :D
