*** The official HTC One S thread ***

Yeah, it really is a joke what they charge, it is good but it most certainly is not worth that much!

And that reminds me skillmister, I need to get CS 6, still using CS 5 :o :p

For the amount of fancy code they now use, it's probably worth that much...

Edit: Oh Lightroom 4 is awesome for photo management and editing. Try that before PS, you don't need anything more.

Talk mobile on the htc one s is a bit dodge in regards to 3G/h internet . Perfectly fine at work in birmingham but at my folks place in Nottingham it's non existent even tho the talk mobile says it should be high. I've read loads of ppl are having probes with this phone on vodafone, which talk mobile piggy backs on. Hope it'sa software problem and htc sort it out as I'm really liking the phone.

Might complain with carphone warehouse and see what they say.

Yeah it's a software problem.

The antenna isn't the best but when connected to the same tower it's comparable in strength and speed to other phones. Then the One S starts slowly connecting to rubbish towers over 10k away :p I'm amazed the battery life is this good tbh!

True! But in my eyes not worth £600!!!! :o :p

Hmmm, must actually give lightroom a try, have heard a lot of good things about it, plus it looks excellent

And yup, there seems to be a lot of problems with HTC handsets and the vodafone network

Hopefully these signal issues will be sorted out in the next update.

Yup, I think there should be as the USA got an update about a month or so ago fixing some other issues and supposedly improving camera stability as well as the signal. Not sure when but hoping we get it soon.

You may receive it by January sometime! :p

Likewise!

I have and use Lightroom and find it pretty good. It does the everyday tasks you would require just the same as Photoshop with the same basic tools. You won't go wrong with it. Photoshop has more tools under the hood but for everyday retouching of images go Lightroom - and it's not as savage on your pocket :D

Sarge - Is there any way proving that? I ask because there is something stupid going on with it's mobile reception.

Well, today I have been experiencing signal cut outs so far, thankfully not for long periods and in total the signal has been cut out for about 1 minute altogether. No idea why, I had a look on o2 website to see if there is any maintenance being done and there was and it should have finished at 6am this morning, so I am hoping that this is a problem on their end and not me getting these signal issues now :( Will give it a day or 2 and see what happens.

Anyway, The smoke black TPU gel case arrived today, very easy to put on and it does what you expect :p Not very nice looking or a nice feel to it, to be expected though, but it does cover all sides whilst adding minimal bulk to it and adds some protection around the camera lens. More comfortable to hold as well. The power button is easier to use now, slightest touch and the screen is on, however, the volume buttons are much harder, so may have to do a little DIY to the case :p Will post some photos etc. later :)

When/if my nillkin case turns up, I am pretty sure that I will be using it instead though :p
