Is the iCloud backup that's done automatically good enough, does this backup photos?

I have never done a manual backup, I don't have much on my phone really apart from some photos and not that many apps, I presume the iCloud backup keeps this all safe.

Yeh it does it automatically if you have it logged in and turned on. Some people don't realize this until it's too late.

Thanks, yeah all the time, It normally does a backup when its charging or at 100% battery I think.

iOS 13.1 has been brought forward to the 24th, they have also released a build for the new phones due tomorrow.

They just released a build of 13.1 for the iPhone 11 series, so update to the latest public beta on your current phone. You'll have to set your new phone up as new, download the profile, update and then wipe it and restore your backup onto it.
