No problems on my iPhone 3G, iPad 3G, or iPod Touch 4th Gen.

How bizarre that these new tones are only on the 4G. How can Apple justify that?

Have you heard them? I'd rather have empty space.

A more serious answer would be that as an iPhone 3GS, 3G or 2G owner, you have had your 1 year of free updates where you get all the goodies, and now you're phone is entering life support. Don't expect much from iOS 5, it may well be the one to cripple the 3GS.

SO how do I go back to the old firmware on my Ipad? or how can I do a full install of the latest firmware?

Will I have to reinstall all my apps ?? I thought apple products just worked? My ipad wifi is borked gutted as apart from that very chuffed with my Ipad.

Any ideas to a noob in the apple world

Unless you were jailbroken before and had backed up SHSH blob files in cydia, I don't think you can

For anyone who is after some useful advice I found a hard reset has helped abit how long for who knows....

Try RecBoot first and if that fails then a restore from DFU mode.

ive tried about 10 different ways to recover now including using the bootcamp partition of this mac and also a mates laptop.

its not playing ball

current error is 1013 but ive been getting others

got an appointment with a 'genius' tomorrow if i can even find the apple store.

Anyone else had problems with album art since this update? New music that I've copied since doesn't seem to show up any art, or it shows the wrong art, on the lock screen while music is playing (it shows the correct art in the actual iPod App though..)

To correct it not showing art on the lockscreen you have to restart your phone after adding new music.

Had my iP4 a few days now and not sure if the problem I have is OS specific or network, I am on O2. Anyway, when browsing, virtually every link I click hangs, with a tiny portion of the blue search bar full and requires an additional click, to get the page loading.
Anyone know of this problem?

To correct it not showing art on the lockscreen you have to restart your phone after adding new music.

Just once or *every* time I add new stuff? If its every time thats a pretty annoying bug

I have noticed this as well. I've got an iPhone 4 running 4.2.1 on the Tesco network (which is pretty much the o2 network!)

Hi all.

I have just installed the latest ITunes software on my PC.

When i restarted my pc, and logged into windows, i got a sign saying 'ITunes cannot run because some of its required files are missing. Please reinstall itunes'

Anyone else had this?

nope but have you done what it has said ? guessing the install went wrong at some point , you might even need to redownload it (could be corrupt)

My IPhone 4 is so sluggish now. Listening to music and using Safari causes skipping in music and typing on here now is so laggy. Grrr. Not sure if maybe I have top many 'multiple tasks' open or what but seems this occured since this update. Anway to clear the cache of open apps or do I have to close them manually?

If you double press the home key on your Iphone 4, you will see what apps you have running, if you hold down on one of the apps, they will shake and a red cross will appear on the corner of the app, do this and close all apps running

Anyone noticed that while typing out sms messages the cursor drops to the line below sometimes after one or two words? It's annoying the hell out of me
