Question that someone may be able to answer, the other half ordered an 11 to pick up but circumstances mean we aren't able to make it to the store until tomorrow. Do they keep hold of paid collections for a few days?

If it was paid in full then it’s kept, if it was a reservation to pay in store (or finance..) it goes back into general pool when store closes

I've gone back and forth 3 times on the colour. I have cancelled my reservation 3 times with the latest being changed last night.

Knowing I originally had a launch day slow and and now getting an estimated time of 14th October is sadness all around

I wish they had the new devices in stores after the keynote, so we look at them before pre-ordering.

No but there are a lot of Japanese models in the UK thanks to places like eglobal selling them cheap.

My view on the colours - does it really matter. Most people case it up so the design and colour are hidden away.

Upgraded from XS max to Pro Max. Initial thoughts

- Face ID materially faster
- camera is impressive
- everything else more or less same

4 apparently, the spec is pretty meaningless though unless you are comparing it to other iOS devices.

Colour was the big question for me. Went in as soon as they opened at 10am so I could decide before committing. Picked up the green and the grey and immediately decided on the grey. Green is good but grey just stood out more to me. Now own an 11 Pro 256GB in space grey! Wide angle is surprisingly useful but also nice to have the zoom.

My 11 arrived today. Setup went without a hitch. The only problem is that I bought apple care with the phone but the cover isn’t showing in the about screen. Looks like I’ll have to contact apple over the weekend

I just had to do the same but the Apple care admin team finished at 6 and only work Monday to Friday.
