Just seen they do it without Apple care but that not upgrade program. Wonder if I can pay that off early?
Yeah you can pay it all off, you contact Barclays to do so.

You just cant pay X amount to reduce the monthly cost, from what I understand.

I took at with my iPhone 7, last year although im still paying.

Man those notches at the top...meh just doesn't appeal to me. Will wait till I see one in the flesh but £1k for a phone with those ugly notches is off putting to say the least.

At this rate I think I'll just hold off till next year for the next batch of iPhones. Hopefully those notches will be rectified.

The notch at the top looks bad on screenshots but it looks good on the phone itself. OLED is critical for that too.

You're gonna be waiting a lot longer than that if you want those notches gone. The iPhone 6 design is still going after 3 years (4 generations) of iPhones. The fundamentals of the UI are changing to accommodate the notch and apple are pushing the notch in their user guidelines. this design will be here for quite a while. Potentially longer than the iPhone 6 design was even.

I really like the notch design, its just a really bad design UI wise. As soon as the phone is turned landscape it looks ****. Thankfully I use my phone in portrait 95% of the time so its not such an issue. I still think they made a mistake for the sake of being different and instantly recognisable in what will soon be a sea of full screen devices in the next few years.

Can't agree with that, I think the notch detracts a lot from what is otherwise exactly what you'd want out of Apple design.

Maybe I'm missing something in the actual use of the X but it doesn't seem correct to introduce that to the design when it's not serving a purpose.

I think most people would not have been bothered if they'd done a full strip across the top rather than the notches. It's just a bit rubbish isn't it?
I was all for buying one until I saw that and the distinct lack of anything that sets it apart from the crowd. Was hoping that they'd held back a killer feature that may not have been leaked, but nope, it really is a lacklustre phone.

Does it fast charge wirelessly?
It didn't seem to indicate it when the chap set it down on the very expensive pad?

What size of battery is in the new phones, both 8 and X?
I can't find info anywhere.

Next year's new feature - twice as fast Face ID!

Crowd urinates appreciatively......

I found the lack of info for the battery quite funny seeing they go into detail for almost everything else. I suspect it's something relatively small, less than 3000 mAh, that being said, iOS is quite good at power management so it should give a full day's use. My iPhone 6 does and I believe the battery in this is tiny. Of course, after about 2 years it will barely last 9 hours...
