I'm getting the Silver. The front is still black, but the edges are silver, like the old school iPhone 3G.

iPhone 6 is never going to be rapid on iOS 11, even once they roll out some of the optimisation they usually do with the .1 release.

£1000 - £200 (resale) / 2 years = £400 per year. Not fantastic, but I can swing £1 a day for something I use this heavily.
 
Surprised how many are still happy with their 6's. Only 1GB of RAM wasn't much fun when using Safari and would reload pages fairly often, app reloads were annoying too.

Both the front and back camera's are low resolution too.

Just a heads up, make sure your wallet/payment/address info is correct in your Settings->Wallet/Apple Pay, so if you intend to get a prompt preorder in tomorrow you can just pay using Apple Pay in the Apple Store app rather than type everything in. Could be the difference between getting one or missing out.

Also do the same in the Apple Store app as they aren’t always the same

I know iOS updates sometimes reset payment info. For the 7, I'd forgot to update my address so couldn't use Apple Pay.

Regarding the Apple Store app. I’m wondering if the app was open prior to 08:01, will the “add to bag” button automatically go from faded out, to active, or will we have to kill and reopen the app?
 
Is anyone going to try and pre-order and sign up for the iPhone upgrade program at the same time?
I was wondering if this would add too much of a delay to getting one.

It's all going to depend on the stock at the store you're trying to reserve at.
 
I think it might be quicker as you don't have to pay, you just select everything and click next next etc. But like above, it might be more difficult due to specific store stock.

Last year though, when I was buying 7, there was also quite a lot of preorders so after day 1 they were all gone in my closest store, but they showed up further in a week (before the release). Which is weird because you can't cancel your reservation, so it means they were receiving some additional stock later on as well.
 
Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo i went ahead and did it :( Even though i said to myself just say NO TO THE OVERPRICED piece of ^$%^ !!! Put my pre-order in with my carrier rep. He can do the getting up in the early hrs of the morning though. I'm getting a $100 off for bringing in my line from AT&T to VZ, plus i can sell my 7 for more or less the difference. Even with all that being said, i'm very concerned that FaceID is going to annoy me rather than be a feature. It was either that or get the LG V30, which i think i would actually prefer ! However, i do use FaceTime to call my mum on a regular basis (I'm in the US) and i do have the Apple watch... Other than that, Apple could whistle !
 
I have a 5S and apple pay is not supported, will not having Apple Pay hamper my chances of getting one ? i have put in all my card info, i think i will have to add the security number and that is it as far as i can see.
