I'll be surprised but it's possible. When I ordered my Apple Watch on pre-order day, I was given a delivery date a week later than launch day and I did get a tracking number quite early.
That's for a launch day delivery though - Not when the product was ordered at pre-launch and then scheduled for delivery a week later. A BTO device has to be assembled specially and that's why it takes longer and can't be delivered on the actual launch day. Although I do think it's a little bonkers that there aren't at lease some BTO versions already built and ready to be shipped for launch day.
It won't actually be in Eindhoven yet - The tracking updates when the waybill is created, this is exactly what happened with the watches. The tracking said they were in Eindhoven when they weren't even on the way.
I thought I'd try that on the MBA...

No issues on the MBA, that's good to know.
Oh, I wasn't disbelieving you at all, I just thought I'd see if it was similar on the MBA. I suppose thinking about it, it would be a bit odd for the WiFi aerials to be in the lid of a laptop and coax routed down through the hinge to the actual controller.
In a sealed metal box like the MBA, it does make sense to have an area which isn't metal for the RF to escape and the logo is ideal for that.

For what reasons?
Not related to the Mac mini but I'm looking at a 28" 4K monitor to use as a second screen on my 27" 5K iMac. That should look OK shouldn't it? I'm currently using a 24" 1080p monitor as a second screen on the iMac.

I just want bigger and better than the 24" I've currently got - The one I'm looking at is this when it comes back in stock.

All the demos and reviews concentrate on this - It's fantastic at editing.
I'll wait for the 27" iMac replacement and get one with that 
I'm not sure that touchID ever bypasses manual entry - For example, I've gone into system preferences, users, and clicked the padlock to unlock it. The only option I get there is manual password entry. TouchID isn't an option. If I open something that gives me the option of touchID, I also get the option to double click the button on my watch.
Hasn't that been the case for a few years with the laptops though? I don't think it's new with the M1.
