Who's getting one of these little beasts?
I'll be surprised but it's possible. When I ordered my Apple Watch on pre-order day, I was given a delivery date a week later than launch day and I did get a tracking number quite early.Same here! Should we see tracking numbers tonight/tomorrow potentially?
That's for a launch day delivery though - Not when the product was ordered at pre-launch and then scheduled for delivery a week later. A BTO device has to be assembled specially and that's why it takes longer and can't be delivered on the actual launch day. Although I do think it's a little bonkers that there aren't at lease some BTO versions already built and ready to be shipped for launch day.I think for my new iPad Air 4 I got a tracking number at about 9 or 10pm the night before delivery (also launch day). Some people got them after midnight.
Oh, I wasn't disbelieving you at all, I just thought I'd see if it was similar on the MBA. I suppose thinking about it, it would be a bit odd for the WiFi aerials to be in the lid of a laptop and coax routed down through the hinge to the actual controller.Argh! Honestly, I wish I was talking nonsense @Feek, even with the antenna plate being on the bottom. Definitely some signal degradation going on... and the top window must play a part somehow (Disassembly video)
Woo-hoo!Wi-Fi and Bluetooth now absolutely fine with the A > C adaptor out of the way!
Not surprised - Worth checking daily though as they'll be back.In the time you’ve posted that, they’ve all gone
For what reasons? So many of the youtubers I followed have returned them or sold them after some use and testing
It really isn't!if it's within your budget
I think that was sorted with an update. How is the Bluetooth on the m1 MM guys? I hear some stories of BT connection?
All the demos and reviews concentrate on this - It's fantastic at editing.is anyone here using the M1 Mac Mini for video editing? i wonder if it has any shortfalls in this area?
I'm not sure that touchID ever bypasses manual entry - For example, I've gone into system preferences, users, and clicked the padlock to unlock it. The only option I get there is manual password entry. TouchID isn't an option. If I open something that gives me the option of touchID, I also get the option to double click the button on my watch.I didn't think it did general system password entry where touchID or manual entry is the current option.
Hasn't that been the case for a few years with the laptops though? I don't think it's new with the M1.But Ram and SSD are soldered on? I really dislike not being able to upgrade or even replace faulty parts. I'd buy an M1 Mac if they were modular
