***The Official LG Nexus 4 Thread***

Ive just cancelled. After having a look at my nephews last weekend I decided that is wasnt worth £160 more than my S2. Heaven knows why people are trading in S3's and Note2 for them. I was tempted to keep the order and then try to swap it for a Note2 and I'm sure I would have got a taker, but still cancelled. I couldnt be bothered with the hassle for just a phone.

The fact I go a lot of long walks and use Google tracks, so needing spare batteries, the potentially fragile back, the lack of expandable memory, the rubbish blacks, the poor camera didn't actually make up for the faster, but hardly noticeable, operation, the gay sparkly back, the newer OS. After all, my S2 had Gingerbread when I bought it and I was happy with that at the time.

So now with my saved £160 Im considering a Nexus7 or Kindle HD to satisfy my tech-spend urge.

I still got my S3, but I much prefer the Nexus, the camera is hardly any difference, that I have noticed anyway, yea removable battery is a pain but that's ok, the look and feel of the nexus is so much better than the S3, it feels premium, the screen is better imo, the blacks aint as good, but the colours are natural looking and the text is nice a crisp.
The fact it has vanilla android is a major bonus, I LOVE this device.

The nexus 7 is good for the money, but I'd put the rest towards getting a Nexus 10.

Ordered my 8gb at 17:06 on the 4th.

I received my shipping email at 00:30 this morning and it looks like it will be delivered today or tomorrow (arrived at destinationdepot at 06:30).

Edit: it is out for delivery today!

Dunno if this works dude, but I have 14 wallpapers I've made for my Nexus4 (when I get it!!) :)

I've just gotta wait till I can afford to order one now! :( Though if my Arc keeps messing me about, like it's doing at the mo, I'll bite the bullet and stick it on my credit card! ;)

I've loads more at 2560x1600 (ready for my Nexus 10, when I get that too!!) which I can trim down to size :D

Lol talk yourself out of it with a load of BS. The s2 is a million miles apart on every area to the n4.

Sweet, cheers, I'm using the raindrops one now :). You'd be tempting fate with the smashed glass one! The "S" one looks familiar, where is that from?

It's pretty cool, when I opened the dropbox link on the Nexus it made the photos into a gallery which you can swip left and right. Don't know if it's dropbox doing that or the phone.
 
A few 1-2 week people have posted on hotukdeals saying they've called Google and have been told their phones will ship in Feb!

I don't believe everything I read on there but sounds rather worrying...

That doesn't sound good. Will probably cancel if it doesn't turn up before christmas, my current phone is barely functional so can't wait forever.
 
It's pretty clear that that Google CS folks have little to no idea about what is actually going on, so I wouldn't read too much into that just yet.
