***The Official LG Nexus 4 Thread***

It's worth noting that the Play store do not seem to have a queue system. Meaning if you got in and ordered at 15:00 you are not more guaranteed of a device then someone who ordered at 16:00.

It's a terrible system, it just seems to come down to luck. However at least they are staying "In Stock" far longer now, which indicates they have received a large supply of stock.

Perhaps not. But presumably they switch to "out of stock" when they don't have any more devices left to sell?

Meaning that everyone gets one, they're just not dispatched in the correct order.

It was 1-2 weeks at 3pm.

Sorry... I didn't actually check it then, but assumed that the status would have shown 'In Stock' at that time rather than 'Ships Soon'... but maybe it didn't!

Personally I plan to hang on to my Galaxy Nexus for a few more months yet... at least until the next 'must have' Nexus phone is launched!

You'd think, but this is Google ;)

Obviously that's how it is intended. However there are numerous stories of Google cancelling orders from the first batch because they didn't have the supply to fulfill all the orders. Which makes the lack of an order queue even worse, some people managed to order within the first minute of the first batch going up however they never received a phone.

Google needs to sort itself out when it comes to retail. :(

Yep that's why I cancelled my order when that happened last time. I might be tempted by the white one when it's released but we'll see.

Successfully ordered a 16gb at about 15.10

Just had a thought though, I paid with my credit card but I am being sent a replacement for it very soon.

I am assuming this new card will have new details, and so when they come to charge the card details I have given it will be unsuccessful? Or will that not be a problem? Should I contact google with the new card details when I receive the card?

In hindsight I should have used my debit card but the adrenaline got the best of me.

Just tempted to order the official bumper while it's available, but at £16 for a case a further £6 for postage seems to be taking the mick a little?
