I know this is the thread for the M3 iMac but I've just bought the base M1 iMac for my wife's salon to use on reception.

It's a good price, especially since the VAT can be reclaimed, effectively costing the business £666.66.

Even at £799.99 that's really good value for a general purpose device.

Very decent price for this sort of thing and it's going to look amazing there.
 
Mac input devices are now all USC-C as well.

Shame the Magic Mouse still charges from underneath but it gives me an RSI anyway so doesn’t really affect me.
 
£200 extra for the 10/10 cores over the 8/8, but the real annoyance is the 8/8 does not include the Touch ID keyboard while the 10/10 does.

It's great to see the switch to USB though, finally.

also, + £50 for the trackpad instead of the awful mouse.

so, £1550 for what should be the base model. Appletastic.

or, about £90 less for the 8/8 with the same options added to it

8/8 doesn’t include Ethernet either which is a kick to the balls.
