Interesting, does the SSD with the heatsink fit in the enclosure or did you get the one without?

Funny that, I've got one of those out for delivery as well. I looked at them earlier in the day and then again later in the evening and the price had dropped by £60 so it seemed like a no-brainer.

Yup, seems to be doing alright on the backup actually. It's copied just under 450Gb so far in eight minutes so far.

Files copied: 1452559VLC handles native DVDs, does it play blu-ray as well? Worth a try.
Out of interest, what makes it better than VLC? I don’t think I’ve ever found anything that VLC won’t play and I love the volume control being on an up and down swipe on the trackpad.
Oh that’s odd. I’ve been using it on Macs since, well, since shortly after I got a Mac. I started off with Perian and flip4mac (anyone remember them?) but it replaced them both.

Infuse is horrible. At least, the interface when playing back Plex content is awful.

Base model M1 Mac Studio is £1499 at Argos at the moment.
Converting some mp4 videos that I grabbed from iPlayer to H265 using Handbrake.
Not a bad frame rate, I do love my Studio, it's not even being driven hard.

I think the announcement of the M4 chip today is probably a good hint that there won't be an M3 Mac Studio and that they'll jump to the M4.
