*** The official macOS Sequoia thread ***

I'm tempted to reinstall macOS from scratch. I've been using this Mac Studio since 2022 and over time it has slowly built up a bunch of crap and I feel like starting again will free up a bit of SSD space (essential when you only have 512GB total). Not sure though. I doubt a new Mac Studio will be released before June 2025 so I need to make sure I'm fine until then.

What would you do?

Is there a way to add a menu bar item for VPN connections? I can't find it but I want to be able to connect and disconnect easier than having to open Settings > VPN all the time. I'm probably being blind.

I can't test it with the work laptop, as we use a specific client which has a menu-bar, but from memory this used to work:

Oh, awesome! Thank you. That link worked.

So here's a question - with Tim Apple announcing that they're going to be slowing down and staggering the release cadence of hardware products, do you think that means we could be seeing a longer gap between OS updates?
They'll need to keep iOS and macOS in sync as they won't stop selling iPhones every year. Maybe the hardware will come slower but macOS will keep getting updated. At least that is how I guess it'll go.

I have a couple of large files in iCloud I recently uploaded but I'd like to remove the local files but keep them stored in iCloud. What is the easiest way to do that?
