Most likely an app you are running is stopping the auto update.
So close every app tonight before I go to sleep and see if it updates with nothing running?
Yeah that's what I would try, don't forget stuff in the menubar.
I don't think I've ever had an OS point update install automatically.

May update to Ventura soon as my macbbok M1 has suddenly started dimming on battery power, I have the auto adjust setting enabled but it dims to extreme lows, where I virtually can't see a thing. Really strange that its only started happening since 12.6.4 and still the same with .5. Have to keep going into settings and raising the brightness, sometimes its the other end of the scale where it's maxed out brightness. Hopefully Ventura will fix it.

That could be the sensor. If it thinks it’s dark, it’ll dim the display.

How is Stage Manager doing these days? I found it pretty good on release with only the odd thumbnail icons disappearing from time to time.

I tried it, didn't like it, so turned it off and haven't tried it since. I know a few guys at work who swear by it but it's definitely not for me.
I tried it, but in the end, I got Rectangle Pro. I much prefer having windows side by side. There is probably a free solution that does the same thing if you want to avoid paying for Rectangle Pro.

The non-Pro free version offers a lot of features...
I can't remember why I bought the Pro version. Either one is fine, I guess.

Hi All,
Has anyone had any success using the Mail email app, and it's Rules feature in the Settings menu? I can't seem to get any rules to actually save. I see there is a pre-added rule for 'News from Apple' emails but despite the fact that my rules do appear in the rules list, they aren't there when I fire shut down and fire up OSX later on.

I do all my email rules from icloud.com so they run on the server except one which highlights emails to a specific address. That one works perfectly and persists between sessions.

Do many people use Time Machine these days? Or do you just back up stuff to iCloud?
