*** The Official Nintendo Switch 2 ***

I did add a Switch 2 Pro controller pre-order at last. With a cheap screen protector and the Skull & Co (now Savage Raven) thumb grip set. So all set hopefully. I did notice the controller went out of stock at Nintendo UK, but had come back in stock.

Also been charged by Nintendo UK for the GC controller, but not the console yet.

Feel like I probably ought to get onboard and buy the Gamecube controller now, even though I won't have the console, as that'll actually eventually go out of stock and end of life...

It's worth upgrading the controllers if you want to wake the Switch 2 when docked.

From Nintendos compatibility page.

Near the bottom of the site.

This feels like something they could have fixed. Pretty annoying.

Amazon has the Pro 2 Controller showing as available in June if anyone is looking.
I know some mentioned being given dates in November before!
That was me! I think it is just a bug and it'll ship at the same time as the console and microSD Express card. If not well I guess I could get it from somewhere else and just cancel the Amazon order.

Oh its entirely a choice. I can see it being a choice that sells a lot of controllers though. Its small enough that people will brush it off and say "i'll stick to my old controller" until it starts to annoy them.

Looks like there wont be any stock issues.

Many Consoles have appeared available to order.

About £600 I be spend on the Switch 2. Will be an expensive month!

I have bought

Switch 2 £430
Controller £75
Screen Protector £10
Case £21

£536...

Did you get another game or another controller?

Yeah looks like it! I've sold my Switch OLED and a few physical games I had (just kept the two Zeldas) and sold my Odin 2 as well; will miss playing the PS2 games (although I can play those on my phone / tablet) but most of the things I'm keen to play through look like they're either already on NSO or will be soon (GameCube).

Need to buy a car as well!

I hope companies are ramping up production of Micro SD Express cards because they are pretty much non existent at the moment. 256GB seems plentiful, 512GB is pretty much non existent apart from a 3rd party offering a Lexar one for £169, they can sod off at that price.

SanDisk seems to have a 512GB available to preorder for £94 which is far more reasonable but doesn't seem to be shipping until the end of July!, and 1TB is only available from Lexar at the moment and that's been out of stock in the UK for weeks.

I want 1TB ideally but I'll settle for 512GB if I can actually get one for a reasonable price.

Best to use the 256gb internal storage 1st and wait for the express cards to become more readily available / competitive tbh.
