I have no idea, she tripped over her words and let slip they were recalled today. I think they are trying to pull a fast one and not release charging mats with this offer personally...

Well, I'm damn glad I use a screen protector, managed to somehow stick a great big gouge down the screen, so deep it looked like it had gone down to the screen.

Luckily it didn't.

Trouble is, your screen protector is made of a different material compared to the screen, thus picking up marrs and scratches easily. I have gone screen protector free, beautiful un marked screen :P

*touch wood, touch wood*!

Screen proctors do their job, but they are far softer than the actual screen, a scratch on the screen protector would unlikely to damage an actual screen, but then a screen protector is about£1 so easily and cheaply replaced. They're designed as responsible protection. Scratch easily but you just replace them.

Considering one of these to replace my wife's iPhone 3 GS. She mainly uses Facebook, Skype, Safari, WhatsApp and Viber. Are these all available in WP8 and are they as polished as iOS? She Uses Safari for web and Mail for her Hotmail and I assume the WP8 and Skydrive, Hotmail etc integration is perfect?

Any other quirks to be aware of?

Thanks.

Anyway to debrand the phones as I am tempted to get one under the EE offer. Fingers crossed Carphonewarehouse price match it as they do unlocked phones!

Seemsto be £30-£35 to unlock the phone from the hukd thread, no where else cheaper?

CPW wouldn't price-match for me as it was a locked phone. Still a cracking deal even with the crazy unlock fees :D

edit - Out of interest, got a link to the £30 one? I can only see them in the £35 region. Thanks

Dangerous territory IMHO, probably safer getting her a 4S or a 5 :p

WhasApp is not too bad it has its moments but there are due to release an update for it shortly that should massively improve things.

Well, my Yellow 920 is going to get sold tomorrow and the SIM is back in the iPhone. Just too buggy for me to live with. The hardware is great and I'll miss the camera but the OS just isn't there for me yet. If it's not a mystery app draining the battery its a live tile that stops updating. I just feel like I can't enjoy the phone as something is always going wrong that needs to be googled and tweaked and I just don't have the patience anymore.

As much as I am bored with the iPhone, it is mature and works for me better. Lets hope apple pull something special out of the bag for the next model, but if they don't...well, whatever, it's only a phone and there are greater things in life to focus on. :)

Even doing the reset now it is stuck on the spinning cogs, like the last time I did a reset.. :p

I've just got rid of mines too mate :(

Sad day really but with some many restrictions in terms of apps (yup I know it's improving) and very silly decisions with XBox Music which worked much better as Zune have convinced me to jump ship.

It's been emotional, clawing back around £300 total so not too shabby with all the accessories etc thrown into it.

Just taken it down to CEX and got £243. I was happy with that as I couldn't be bothered with going the ebay route.

I kept the wireless charger in case it is usable in any way with the next phone I get...never know.

That's not too bad mate, I was only offered £183...probably due to the EE lock I dunno but managed to get £214 from a recycling site so happy with that. Had watched a few eBay auctions go for around £215-220 yesterday and they were newer. Good job getting in before the inevitable offer drops on them as it's already reflected on ebay due to the 925.

Wireless chargers and cases etc have clawed the rest back for me though :)
