So, let me get this right, you don't get Ads or anything on Droidn and iOS, you can use various Ad blockers etc across nearly all Browsers, how did this one App become so special?

Does Google have no shame in knowing where their user base comes from?
Seriously...love ms to kick Google of a Windows based machine for just a day.

Because this address many moans about the size and thickness. It gets people umm and ahh about something thinner for their pocket - and also people who don't fancy wireless charging.

It's a mid season refresh; much like when the Lumia 900 was out and people going it's just a bigger screened Lumia 800. In this case, it's just a skinny Lumia 920, which I'm still loving!

If the phone's on a 12 month cycle then a 6 month refresh is utterly pointless, especially when it doesn't have a real differentiator. I appreciate it might appeal to people who thought the 920 was too heavy but screw those people :p I've never been concerned with the weight at all when playing with one.

I'd rather they put effort into making a great sequel rather than just bring out minor rehashes, HTC were awful for doing that and I don't think it's something Nokia should fall into the trap of doing.

Fistly, you are not those people, so your opinion is mute.

Secondly, they did a HELL of a lot in the refresh, im particularly interested how the managed to fit a 6 lens element into such a small housing.

Well it's my opinion so mute or not I'm still having it

No one wants to see their phone being replaced within 6 months of original launch. HTC had a backlash over doing it and I wouldn't be surprised if the same happened with Nokia.

true but you gotta understand...same story with crapple but yet people dont care and dont pay rent but get the phone anyway...

People will buy an iPhone just because it is an iPhone, unfortunately I don't think Nokia will get away with doing the same it's just going to confuse people. I appreciate that they are making improvements but why not save it for the 920 successor that's probably due at the end of year and make that a truly great device?

Its not the same, the 920 is still being made and sold along side this, its just you have a choice of style and design to suit the buyer. About the same price, with this they are not expecting to have users of the 920 move to this, they are hoping that well, mostly it will be a big thing on T-Mob in the US.

I'm just concerned they might confuse people by churning out phones that are very similar but at the same time different. I also think that if people really like a phone they won't just discount it because it weighs a little bit more than others.

Don't get me wrong I think they're making great devices but I think they need to keep focus and not get distracted with short life cycle refreshes.

This is amusing. :p

The original.

Also. LOL @ Google.

MS reply to Google.

"YouTube is consistently one of the top apps downloaded by smartphone users on all platforms, but Google has refused to work with us to develop an app on par with other platforms. Since we updated the YouTube app to ensure our mutual customers a similar YouTube experience, ratings and feedback have been overwhelmingly positive. We'd be more than happy to include advertising but need Google to provide us access to the necessary APIs. In light of Larry Page's comments today calling for more interoperability and less negativity, we look forward to solving this matter together for our mutual customers."

So one made a very interesting point about the whole Youtube thing.

If you use the mobile browsers version, theirs no ads on it either.

Got one of these reserved as the price has just dropped quite considerably. Really can't decide whether or not to make the move. Currently using an EVO 3D which is already quite hefty and the 920 is heavier. Have you guys got used to its weight? Does it really sit heavy in a breast pocket for example?

I have a black one reserved as I didn't really want the white one but is the back interchangeable so that I could get a replacement coloured one if I wanted?

One or two apps I will really miss from Android if I move, namely Swype & Sonos. Is there a decent IP camera viewer out there?

I moved from a smaller phone (Lumia 800) to the 920. It's heavier on paper but in real use, I've never had a problem. Back pocket, front of jeans, breast pocket and jacket, all without a hitch. Only problem I encountered was in skinny jeans but that's a fashion phase.

I have a black one too but it's currently Grey due to interchangeable silicon cases you can get on eBay ( Official Nokia colours). You're. Cant change the batteries or case like the Nokia 820 for example.

I believe there is a Sonos app for WP8. No such thing like Swype, but I'm not fussed. You'll get use to typing 3 letters and use the auto predict. The more I use, the better it seems to get. And sorry, no idea about IP camera viewer...
