Yup best part of it. with glance background its awesomeThe Glance screen notifications are set in the settings for Lock Screen, took a while to find them. They're pretty awesome.

For anyone suffering with the delightful Sky/Yahoo mail problem that I've had? Well I've found a solution. Something has changed with their imap servers over the last couple of weeks and the way around it is to sync the last 7 days mail only as any longer with straddle their server change and stop any syncing. Hope it helps any of you guys with sky email.

I am a complete novice when it comes to nokia, and the Windows OS on a device, however my dad is pitching up the idea of getting a Nokia Lumia 925. He had a go on one in a store the other day.
Now this is a guy who is very much "needs users friendly" he didnt get on with android, he has an ipad but dont want to splash out more on a SIM free iphone. So he said he wants to give this a try, bearing in mind at the moment his phone is an old nokia 33 something (non-smart phone).
Are these phones good enough for what he wants? is the OS on the phone easy to use, not buggy and get on with allowing him to do what he needs (mainly for work /check emails, browse the internet). without becoming all faffely so he starts tearing what hair he has left on his bald head
He has some experience with Windows 8 as his other half has a windows 8 laptop, he is on windows 7, so and the metro interface (reluctantly) after a new laptop got him used to it, so i think he should be ok here if its similar

My wife who is non tecchie. Could not get on with her Android phone and she uses an iPad. She saw my 920 and a week later she bought one herself and can use it after a few minutes demo.

I too will recommend WP8. My wife is none tech and she could get on with it. She's now on android and finding it a bit different. Going to give the old WP to my mum who is yet to get a Smartphone! I wouldn't let her near android. IMO iOS and WP are much easier to use for the novices out there.

i thought these phones were tough, Goriila Glass and all that bovine faeces? mine just got knocked off a chair, fell about 2 feet and now the screens cracked and shards of glass are falling out! still works fine, but Jesus, to say I'm peeved is an understatement.
Luck of the draw when it comes to falling. I've dropped mine countless times on concrete and solid, only little marks on my corners to remind me to be more careful.
I suspect your drop just so happens at the right angle where the glass takes most of the kinetic energy. Unlucky dude.
Is anyone having issues with gps when using nokia drive? after about 30 seconds it loses the gps signal and cant get it back. When i use nokia maps a similar situation happens, only this time the gps freezes every thirty seconds and then starts working again.
