If I had a suspect battery problem, I'd take the SIM out, turn off the WIFI, charge it to 100% ... if it didn't last 24 hours sat there doing nothing, back back it goes.

If it did, I'd go hunting around the settings and apps to try to find the one thats killing it.

If I couldn't find anything, factory reset, and install 1 by 1.

Anyone thats got a N920 got a Surface as well, how well do the two sync together, have been Xoom/Desire HD for years now so used to how things luink between the two, apps only having to be bought once and so on..

Very well, if you just connect your phone via the USB, it auto downloads the WP app for it, and you can sync all your photos music etc from it and onto it.
Only thing missing from it is a way to input or mess about with contacts in it.

I'm currently using a gubbed Mozart 7 which I need to use the camera to unlock the screen lol. That + a crack on the screen mean i want a new phone. I pay about £26-28 a month right now for 750mb data and 900mins.

I love the 920 but it seems expensive on EE and my contract ends on 9/12 with Orange. £46+ a month or so and £20 upfront.

I like the the Htc 8x in black on three. £34 per month + £30 up front on the one plan which means I can tether lots.

Would it be worth claiming my insurance on a totally ruined Mozart 7 paying a £50 excess? I'd hope it was too broken to repair and maybe get a newer windows phone which I could sell on.

Upgrade via P4U to Orange, I did that, got a black phone.

£28.50 per month, 600mins, unlimited text and 1 GB data. Free phone + £20 cash back to me in a couple months time.

My previous contract was £36 - £7.50 'Loyalty' bonus, same tariff.

If you want a free phone and willing to settle for 2 years, that's one way to do it for not a lot more than the phone sim free and a under £10 per month over 24 months.

If tethering is important to you, e.g. you have a wifi tablet, then the Three plan is good but the phone don't seem quite on par with the Lumia 920.

Seriously, it's the best phone I've had, ever.

I'm trying 2 or 3 weather apps at a time to see which actually live update for me. I've also noticed that there seems to be more than 1 version of the same app in the store... I guess for wp7 and wp8. I tried accuweather earlier which didn't work at all, then realised there was another version. That one seems to work better.

The only problem is it didn't say anything about wp8, I just noticed a difference in version number. This seems to be common for a few apps I've looked at.

Had a charge/discharge cycle last night. This morning it's been sitting about for 3 hours, 75% battery left with an estimated 4 hours :S

My battery gets better with each day. I'm on 72% after 8 hours with 1 day and 6 hours left.

Just had word my red Lumia 920 has been despatched from p4u, yay!

Glad I stuck it out for the colour I wanted.

Interesting... I don't think I can remember every phone I've ever had. My first was some analogue motorola in 1997 I think followed by the iconic Nokia 5110 in 1998. I could possibly make a list from there, but it's going back a few years!

Almost got a white 920 for free @ £26 ppm as an Orange upgrade from P4U today but the system wouldn't let then scan it through unless it was an EE contract, curse their fail safes, oh well they are going to call me when they get a black in stock.

nothing in relations to unlocking a locked 920 phone?

Nothing yet, still waiting on my unlocker site, but given the generally negative aura surrounding the unlock sites - people have emailed and they think it could be a while before codes appear, I'm not expecting much. If I've nothing by this Friday (at which point it will be 2 weeks since I got the phone and applied for the code) I'll be returning it to P4U.
