**** The Official Note 4 thread ****

LOL :)

Mines not arriving until 3.30-4.30pm, now for a phenomenon that only happens when you're waiting for a delivery, all of time and space slows down to a crawl :p

Just in case anyone else is in the same boat as me and you've had no email or text updates...

Chris says:
Hi. I spoke to one of your colleagues yesterday who advised my order had passed the credit checks and was being processed. I am yet to receive any sort of carrier information in regards to my order and your website lists my order as 'Pending Checks', 6 days after my order was placed.

Abdul says:
We have recieved your order and all the checks are complete

Abdul says:
We are currently awaiting the stock, we are aiming to get this to you for monday

Abdul says:
But there is a possibility there could be dealys till the 27th

Just to add to the confusion, he also said that your online account won't update from 'Pending' until they ship your order. I'd also highly advise against using their online customer service channel, it took me just shy of 2 hours to talk to someone.

Disappointing, considering I placed my order at the same time as most others.

Damn Im jealous.

Wish I had just ordered one last week. Gonna have to wait until the stock situation improves I think :(

Best looking deal for me seems to be £43 a month for unlimited text/mins and 10gb internet.

Been playing around with mine all morning. Love the hardware. Gorgeous metal frame with edges that glint in the light and a nice grippy ruberised back. It feels a lot thinner than 8.5 mm too due to the way the back tapers up to the metal frame.

Not too keen on the software though. Everything is colourful and jumbo sized, very Fisher Price. I'm going to have to put Nova or Google Now launcher on it at the very least.

Since I am due an upgrade from EE I figured I would use their chat to ask the question.

Seems its actually better to just upgrade/get new from a shop than bother doing it through network.

hello

Me: at 13:02:18
im looking at upgrades to a galaxy note 4 and was wondering if the prices online are the only available.

EE: at 13:02:17
Hi

Me: at 13:02:54
carphone warehouse prices seem better than those quoted on EE. Im due an upgrade through orange/ee right now.

EE: at 13:04:04
The carphone warehouse is a 3rd party dealer. 3rd party dealers buy their handsets, then they sell those handsets at a loss by offering them free of charge or cheaper on a certain plan, then they make the money back on the handset by connecting them to a network. They will undercut every network supplier

Me: at 13:04:59
Oh i see, so there is no benefit in me just upgrading via my network?. its better for me to just go via cpws upgrade section and do it that way?

EE: at 13:06:20
I'm not suggesting that for one second, I'm merely explaining why they can offer it at a cheaper price, if you want to upgrade via them you can do so.

Me: at 13:08:04
Well if they can allow me to stay on EE as I plan to, and give me a better price than the EE upgrading system then I guess they make most sense.

Me: at 13:08:08
Thanks for the info.

EE: at 13:09:01
Anytime, Cheers

Looks like I best shop around!
