not hot at all... it is as soon as you start a game and the temp is still down in the 40's. It never actually goes to the max speed it just stays at 1497 and 1267. Same for web browsing. Never goes above 1497 which is fine but in games you expect it too.

Tried a second game and the cpu never goes up past 1267 while playing. This is before it barely has a chance to to even heat up. The second you start the game its just locked between 1497 and 1267 then stays pretty much at 1267.

Maybe its just me but Samsung has some crazy throlling going on there or downclocking. You would think it would be at max cpu speed once your in game and stay at that until it at least gets to a high temp.

Yeah its the same.. first few funs... top score... once it starts heating up a little score half's.
In all fairness though max cpu speed in a benchmark isn't much use but in gaming its needed.

2.65 should be the speed in gaming at least till it heats up. Its not much use if it only goes to that speed in benchmarks for a few runs and 1% of the time otherwise.
 
i went into town today and picked up a note 4, im coming from an iphone and have never used an android before.

any apps or widgets i need to have?

Has anyone got the official flip wallet case? Is it worth the £30?

With a bit of luck I'll be picking my Note 4 up from the o2 shop tomorrow. Spoke with a lady on the phone on Tuesday to order this to be told this was out of stock for a little while, I rang up the next day and spoke with someone else to then be told it was back in stock and I could pick it up from instore on Friday. When Friday came I then received a text that they were out of stock and they should have more tomorrow.

I wouldn't be surprised if I get another text tomorrow, "Thanks for your order, sorry we're out of stock at the moment"

Went into CPW this afternoon to get my handset swapped out, annoyingly (after about a 30-40 minute queue!) they didn't have any in stock. They've ordered one in though, and should be here Tuesday-ish.

Fingers crossed the next one is better!
 
I've gone from a Note 2 to a Note 4 and there are a few things annoying me about it.

Firstly, the browser seems to be buggy. When I double tap to zoom, it barely zooms in at all. When reading these forums, certain posts have much larger text that others. I can't see any pattern in it, it just seems random. I can't type an address in the address bar if it matches something in my history. So for example, if I type in www.google.co.uk and press go, it loads a previous Google search from my history. I can't actually get to the Google homepage.

Then there is the built in video player. On my Note 2, I could play pretty much anything. With the 4, it keeps telling me I don't have the needed codecs. Why would the 4 have less codecs than the 2?

Is anyone else experiencing these issues?
 
Install VLC beta for video play. Seems to handle everything.

Not sure what's happening with your browser though? Again, install Chrome and see how you get on.

Decent cases appear to have a bit of a lead time. Baffles me that they can't be shipped to support the release of the product - especially the OEM's offerings.

If you are a clumsy idiot like me, you are forced to stumble around with it wrapped in cotton wool until you can get hold of one!
 
Really hoping my note arrives tomorrow, three did say tuesday but i am a bit wary with all the delays going on, woke up this morning to find my S4 had almost gone into meltdown overnight, had the phone on charge next to my bed, the micro usb charging lead end that goes into the phone was charred and melted along with the area around the charging port, tiny bit of the screen next to home button is discoloured, but apart from that the phone works fine, still charges fine too, very bizzare, also a little scary, think ill charge it before bed tonight.
 
Had a really strange issue with my phone this morning, I received a call and when I answered I couldn't hear anything, neither could the other person hear me so I wasn't sure whether it was my phone or theirs. We tried connecting 2-3 times, first they rang me, then I rang them etc same issue.

I've just now tried ringing my wife to check whether it was my phone, and it was. I can't hear anything, neither can she hear. I've restarted the phone and it's now working fine again.
