Got Lollipop installed now. Had to do it via Kies. Seems to be running OK but bit early to notice the differences.

Definitely a touch snappier but i did a factory reset so it's hard to tell yet.

What was the soft key issue? It's not something i noticed.

Under display options they used to let you turn the capacative key lights off in KK. For some reason the removed the option from the S6.

If you mean 'Touch key light duration', the option is there (1.5s, 6s, Always off, Always on) and just tested it as working.

Mine are still off after updating my s4 to lollipop and I'm finding my phone snappier, I reset before accepting the ota.

Also pretty sure now that the phone is a touch snappier than it was when i first got it with kitkat not that it was a slouch beforehand.

One feature that seems to have disappeared is the ability to select multiple apps to go in an existing folder. Before the update, i could open a folder and there'd be a '+' at the top right which would open the app drawer with tick boxes by each app. After the update, that's missing unless there's a setting i've missed.

Just installed SimplRom and their Kernel, going to give it a full charge and see how it goes, but whilst I was installing everything back again (preferred a fresh install) everything was blistering fast and effortlessly smooth.

I'm hoping my battery woes are gone, everything else is working just fine, just a lot of junk removed

Yeah my youngest sent me some pics from Aberdovey yesterday and they kick *** compared to my s4, I'm thinking of not buying an s6 but getting a Note 4 then in about a year buying a Note 5 which I assume will be awwwwsome :cool:

How does the Note 4's battery life and sound quality via both in built speaker/earphones compare to the Xperia Z3?

Battery life is average at best. Z3 battery is much better

Not a chance.

From what I've read and experienced the Note 4 is better, but realistically they're both going to get you through a day's decent usage with some spare but still need charging each night.

No way the Z3 is "much better", and the Note is far from average.

Yes the Z3 has exceptional battery life and great sound quality on earphones/headphones and can play hi res sound files, just wondering how the note 4 compares in these two areas, love the note 4's large 2k screen with s-pen.

Narrowed it down to these two devices, not sure which one to get, anybody own both of these?
