**** The Official Note 4 thread ****

Lost the H+ signal notification ,it sbeen replaced with LTE, but its the same thing and i can forgive it :)

Is it the same? I'm sure my phone goes from H to H+ and then to 4G?

I spoke too soon after the MM update on my phone, the battery life started out great, but soon turned to absolute pants. Without really using the phone yesterday, it went from 100% at 9am to 6% at midnight. Usually I'd have about 25-40% and I'd have been using it throughout the day.

I decided to do a full wipe and install everything from scratch, hopefully that helps else I'm going back to 5.x

Keep us updated on the full wipe and if it makes any difference, i've also noticed a drain in the battery since 6.0.1 MM with my note 4.

Yesterday was my first full day with the phone after the wipe, 100% at 8.30am, 35% at 1am which wasn't bad. I reckon I could have been much higher if I actually had any mobile signal at home, the phone constantly searching for a reliable signal probably killed a fair chunk of the battery.

Still early days but I'll report back after a few days.

I've just had an 337MB OTA update which is supposed to include battery optimisation, security updates and stability improvements.

It's showing the Security Patch Level as 1 June 2016

Got it this morning too. Battery life seems worse even in the last 20 mins since it was updated! It was on 97% when I kicked it off, dropped to 87% after it finished and after ten mins of use has dropped to 80%....
Will give it a full charge again and see how it fares..

By far the best thing about this update is the option to turn off the 'App Optimization' notification that appeared 10 times a day. I was genuinely about ready to root and get rid of Samsung software completely. They obviously cottoned on that advertising a feature multiple times a day that I'm already using is poor at best.

My father is reporting that his Note4 battery life has gone down quite a bit since the MM update. Also puzzled as to why Facebook is suddenly on the OS so I disabled that asap. Going to take a proper look at the phone tonight.

Battery life over the last week or two (since wiping the phone) has settled and seems to be better than Lollipop. I'm consistently taking the phone off charge at 8am and coming home at 6.30pm with an easy 50% battery remaining. That's with about 20 minutes of web browsing, plus all day Whatsapp use.

Impressed. Though I do reboot the phone every two days or so.

Ps. I think Facebook has always been included in the OS - I'm sure my 910C came with it out of the box.

Mine was attrocious, but seems to have got better too. Am still not at Lollipop 2 days endurance, but has increased for the better.

I think some of the issue I may have had was that the phone was stuck in non 4G mode....in teh settings>more networks>mobile networks>network mode it was set to wcdma/gsm auto connect after the upgrade and I had to force it to go to lte/wcdma/gsm. Quite strange.....

I reckon I could get two days out of mine. The problem I've got is that the Three signal is so unbelievably pants at home it's not even worth bothering to make a call/text. The phone spends all of its time either with no signal, or with 1 bar so I reckon it's constantly searching and draining the battery.

Having a bit of battery life issue with my note 4. I can barley last a day on a charge now and i don't think i use it that much.

Maybe an hour of games (clash royale and a tower defence game) nothing i would think too demanding, some face book and whats app etc. i get to about 7-8pm and i get a message for low battery at 15%, seconds later it drops to 0% and warns again then shuts off. It can also randomly reboot. Ive had the battery drop from 30% to 0% then shut off also.

I charge it every night regardless of what the battery is at. could it just be a new battery is required or should i give it a reset also? phone is 19 months old.

I have the same symptoms....but that is also with a new battery too. Random re-boots and pretty poor battery life.

I did mention earlier that I had to change teh radio setting to actually look for 4g and since then I seem to be gettign better battery performance. Took phone off charge at 0645 yesterday and then left off over night with usage of Start Trek for a fair bit and usual messaging, email and web use and was at 36 percent after 24 hours. Was at a point where I struggled to make 12 hours at one point.

I would check all the deep dark hidden settings and make sure that somehting in there is not causing the issue. My biggest battery hog is Android System and the phone never seems to go into a sleep state according to the standard battery app.....

Seem to have the same problem since the new android - the battery just died. Was looking at replacements but can't find anything decent with good reviews.

Can anyone recommend anything?

Does the anker battery have NFC too? (and does it support wireless charging if I get the adapter?)
I might also go for it.
