**** The Official Note 5 thread ****

Quite pleasing to see that the Note3 comes out pretty much on top in that test. The 5 has less cracks (probably due to GG4) but the screen goes kaput.

Looks like I picked the right one! My contract is up in November but there's nothing out there (Note5 included) that really whets my appetite to be honest. Going to get a new battery as the life has been a bit poor for a while now, but still a great phone.

Yes I get that you'd have to be stupid to put it in the wrong way but products are designed for stupid people, that's why the iPhone is so popular... ;)

I could imagine my son doing that if i had a note 5.

What, you dont have young kids who like to play on your phone and draw etc?

if you're happy to let your child use a £600+ phone to draw with then clearly money is no issue to you. simply buy a new one if it breaks right?

40 quid a month contract doesn't make him minted? My kid is less than 2 and plays with phones and tablets, seems reasonable to me. Phones are starting to become waterproof to protect from accidents I don't see this as any different, you should only be able to put the stylus back in one way round.

clearly:confused:

Maybe im just not somebody who molly cuddles their phone to bed. Besides, mines insured so i guess in this case no, money isnt the issue.

the point being, if Samsung designed the phone in such a way that the stylus could be put in backwards, they they should probably take enough care that it doesnt break when people do (and they will / have done) it.

These work out at £400 at the current exchange rate in Thailand. Might have to get a friend to send one.. or wait for the new iPhone hmm
Not sure if I fancy a break from android.

I'm not sure if I can ask this on here so feel free to delete if not but has any one on here got a Note 5 from a well known auction site?

See there's plenty for sell on there I'm also after a duel sim version. Would they work ok on UK networks like EE and O2?

Thanks

Now launching in India on the 7th. I'll start a rumour off by saying we may see it last week of September or first week of October in Europe. Don't blame me if it doesn't materialise before November.

Seems the new Sony Z5 premium is using a 4k screen so i think that means the next Note phone will also be 4k. I wonder if that will see a big bump in specs to compensate for the amount of pixels to push?

Are you in America? I thought 64GB would be fine after jumping up from a 32GB ages ago, looks like a 128GB will be needed :(:p

So I've ordered a 64GB version in Gold. Should be here on Monday hopefully, will do a mini review of it. I don't have an issue with the storage (I do have a 128GB SD in my current Note 4) but I've literally used perhaps 12GB, if that.

Where did you order it from? I'm heading to HK in Oct to pick up a Note 5.... hopefully...

Pretty much nothing about this release gives me the desire to upgrade from a 3. A few aspects even encourage me not to - unchangeable battery, click release stylus, the same stylus shape. Needs some revolution

If they bundled a free vr headset, I could be swayed.

Well, that's not going to happen lol.

Could always buy a google cardboard :p

I ordered from the 'Bay, same shop I've used for 4 or 5 previous phones. In fact I ordered (late) yesterday and its already on the journey across via DHL, should be here Monday according to tracking.

How much have you paid, do we get a clue to the "shop"?
