Class 10 - no benchies yet. But Once in the Note 3 it doesn't copy much over 10MB/s from my experience.

Need to put it inside a good card reader for top speeds.

Will the 128GB cards definitely work?

I've still not had chance to go to the shop and have a play with all the current phones yet. I've barely even tried any of the recent ones!

I think the Note 3 does sound ideal though. :(

I'm going to carefully examine the Z1, HTC One, Nexus 5 and Note 3 and see what I think to them. Screen aside, the Z1 should give a fairly accurate representation of what the Z2 will be like. The more I think and read about Sony, the less inclined I am to wait for and ultimately gamble on the Z2. I don't really need waterproofing so the flaps will likely be annoying as well.

Yeah it will work without a doubt. Any phone supporting SDXC should work no problem.
 
Note 3 was a bit larger than I'd like but looked real high quality compared to its peers

it was much thinner in reality than I'd expected

Note 3 measured very very well audio wise on gsmarena which was a key discriminator for me

(2) decent battery life
(3) apparently decent audio Headphone out (according to Headfi)

if the Nexus 5 had a MicroSD slot I'd have been half tempted with one of those

had to go for white in the end - but as its a present from my wife can't be too picky :)

Tesco have them for 499 both colours - but getting a bit expensive for me then

white with with/black Spigen case I think

Ah fair enough. Yeah I saw the tesco ones. Really don't want a white one, my galaxy note 10.1 is white and I couldn't deal with white for a phone
 
me neither really - but I only ever use phones in a case - so the amount of white will be only tiny

wasn't worth 50+ extra for the black for me

not sure I like the front texture of the black anyway- its quite a shiney black
 
I've found a case which will make my new Note 3 - only be white in a tiny amount top and bottom

anyone used the ballistic sg ?

it seems quite similar to my current iphone 4 incipio case

After waiting several weeks for a refund from them I only got my money back after the threat of police intervention. Again, do not buy from them.
 
Hi all, Just upgraded to one of these from the Galaxy S3 and first impressions are really good :)

Anyhow, can someone point me in the direction of the best screen protector for this phone? I'm also looking for a slim case too, I have been on the look out for a sandblast ROCK case same as my S3 but it seems they do not do it for the Note 3. Boooo. Is there an equally good alternative out there?

Did you not buy it on a credit card?

I always buy any goods over £100 via credit card for section 75 protection. Just for problems as you described.

Hell, you only need to pay a £1 on the credit card and the rest in cash, as long as the item costs £100+. Stupid not too really.
