No problem. I have my MacBook Air which has USB 3, what do you want me to do exactly?

First impressions, excellent. You have a connection to the screen that feels like iOS now, must be the power of the Snapdragon 800. The pen does not lag!! Finally!! Taken 3 generations but its here :)
 
Just the speed it takes to transfer 1 large file and many smaller files (folder full of mp3s, for example). If it's no trouble!
 
No trouble, I am at home all day today and lucky it arrived at 10am with ParcelForce.

Its just restoring apps from the play store so I will do it when thats finished.

Its a very solid phone, no flex or creaks so far. Camera app loads pretty much instantly as well. It is ultra fast in operation.

MobileCashMate are still offering £245 for the Note II for recycling so I will still be using that. While I could get the N3 right now I just don't feel I should spend £600-£619 on one when it should be a lot cheaper in a few week's time.

Its still installing but I have noticed silly little improvements...

On the S4 when you swipe to unlock is wasn't completely smooth, it is on the Note 3, :) a buttery smooth unlock is nice. I know its a small thing but little things like that annoy me lol.
 
On one video a guy used 2 fingers to swipe down the notification bar and got loads more toggles, is that in the retail one? Would e cool!
 
am I the only one that thinks the rubber/leather back is an after thought? It's as if samsung saw what response the HTC one got with metal casing and all that.. but had note 3's design ready.. so the best/cheapest option they had was to change the back to something that feels/is more premium?!

Phones4u aren't selling the note 3 sim free !!!

It may do but put the recycle through at a good price and wait as you get 10 days minimum with most so the quoted price holds.

File Transfer 2: 3.50Gb single movie file, 2 Minutes 21 Seconds.

File transfers were done on a 2013 MacBook Air with OSX Mavericks, Android File Transfer.
