****The Official Note III Thread****

Seriously tempted by this. I have an iPhone 4S and an HTC One at the moment. Which to replace.......?
The 4S is useful as I have docks in both my cars for it. The One is just lovely. Hmmm.

Well thats me out then, i'm not spending £600 on something that has no warranty!

Knox. It' was bound to be that way due to the secure platform it's promoting. Other handsets that offer such security options will be the same no doubt.

Simply use phone insurance. If something breaks, put a claim in.

So pay another what £7 a month or more. I never have insurance and never will.

I'm beginning to see Samsung as the next apple.

I swapped my One for the Note 3 and the only thing I miss so far is the speaker quality. The ONE's speakers are worlds apart from anything else.

Not in europe it isnt :) Although it might be a pain in the ass to resolve.

Yeah I've seen that before, it's a Directive so you'd need to find your countries legislative implementation. Iirc it applies unless it's bricked flashing. Either way I don't hold much stock in that. I've been stonewalled enough times to know better and read of enough Samsung cases refusing to repair on those grounds. They just argue you've not used the device for its intended purpose and your actions voided the warranty, but we can fix it for £xxx. If you have the money you could sue, you'll end up getting into who the sales contract is between. You and the seller, not the OEM, so problematic enforcing warranty claims, all very messy. Ultimately a court would decide it all. Still you can hope they'll honor hardware faults regardless, worth a try. A head's up really, it's not just roots, any non standard flash will set an irrevocable switch or e-fuse that sets the 'KNOX warranty void' flag. Unlike before where you could get it all back to stock with some effort. Just worth considering on resale and recycling as well.

Got my new Note 3, This one isn't bent But the bezel does bulge slightly above the sound key, but I'm not fussed about that as i looked at 4 in store and they all had it to some extent.

Anyone know where i can get an s view case asap?

Anyone else's phone get a bit warm around the camera area?

Just waiting for some stock in my local o2 store and I'll be down there to collect one, got my PAC from virgin already :)

I don't see the point in 4G where I live as there's no coverage and unlikely to be any before the end of next year.

Should be a nice upgrade from my SGS2

Run a few benchmarks and it gets really hot!

So it needs to be a UK phone to work with a UK sim. so jap imports won't work?
I was looking earlier and the dreaded bay has them at about £545 from UK sellers.
