Just got one of these yesterday as P4U were including the Samsung Gear watch for free. Yes, it's gimmicky, but I keep just laughing that it's even possible.
The phone seems great, and Sketchbook with the S Pen is brilliant.
Just got a cheap screen protector until I can get a better one. Thanks for the useful information so far in this thread.
As I've not read all 50+ pages yet, does anyone know where to get apps for the Gear?

I use Better Battery Stats but there is another app called Wake Lock Detector, borh from Play store.

Getting mine tomorrow. Is there an option to show battery percentage in the status bar?
There is on my Note II official ROM so I would expect so on the Note III.

Great. It was one of the things that really annoyed me in stock Android on the Nexus 7.
Why not include such a simple thing?
Anything I should download upon my receiving the phone?

I'd let it download and install all of the OTA updates you'll be promoted after you boot the handset up for the first time.
Hmm this is weird, I'm sure last time i tried BBS it said it wouldn't work as I am not rooted, but I just checked now and it does. I purchased it back when I had the S4 rooted so I'll just that. Thanks anyways

I've got the Case-Mate Tough case coming too, just so I can not worry about dropping the phone and breaking it.
However, I'd like to get a case similar to this but with port protectors? Does one exist (I had one my for iPhone 4S)? I took a look at the Otterbox Commuter, but it seems to be out of stock

had the same problem the other day, I know its just an app but I consider that a massive problem, if an alarm is not reliable then its not an alarm its a liability. Luckily my body clock is a little more reliable otherwise I would have been god knows how late for work :/
Yeah I can see this causing a problem.
I use blocking mode when I go to bed, I don't have any apps from outside of Google Play no the device.. it worked fine this morning though, I just never had an issue with my Nexus 4 like that.
