*****The OFFICIAL OCUK 2012/2013 Fantasy Football League*****

Looks like quite a lot of people did really well as the average score is 51.

I have an app for iPhone that I used last season too called Fantasy Premier League Manager (unofficial). Although, it doesn't seem to want to work this season.

Will be downloading too it too; appears to be a 3rd party developer thought, not that I mind, but should have been an official one.

Anyway, should make things easier now.

An average of 51 is alright, but realistically, based on previous years' top scores, if you want to be challenging for a top 10 percent, you need around around 6 points per player on average.

Yeah, for this reason, I've kept him in! I'm standing firm this week and I'm not going to make any substitutions this week!

Ok, nutsacks to this, have played my wildcard after another disappointing week, bordering on terrible.

I do however, feel much more confident about my new team. Best to change now before I start to lose lots of value on my underperforming choices.

Edit: Oh noes!!!! I've just picked a team with 3 Chelsea players in, only to realise they aren't in the next gameweek!

'Average' scores are always going to be bad on FF because they will be weighed down by players who have no clue about football, by "fire and forget" players who just pick a team and never change it etc. I'd expect most people on here to finish in the top half (lets say top 1 million players) and realistically those who are knowledgeable about football and take the game seriously should be placing in the top 500k. 2000 pts is a good benchmark to aim for which works out at about 53pts per gameweek average assuming no paid transfers but obviously this will vary depending on fixtures i.e. racking up the points on DGWs and maybe suffering due to fixture postponements in the winter (or, er, August in the case of Sunderland!)

unless you have one of those weeks where all your main players for one reason or another don't play:p

Rooney(captain), Lampard(Vice) and Lescott. All fit but didn't play! thats £25m wasted:rolleyes:.
I will be looking at a few changes this wekk. Will use my free on Lampard for Hazard, and I am thinking of Yaya for Ben Arfa as well(which will free up the .5 for Hazard. I also haven't decided about Fellaini yet. Good, but could be cheaper.

PS I notice Dembele is the same price as Duff! ...I might make a swap

Yep I was surprised to see no official app yet but that one works quite well for a third party developer. There are a few things missing like the forum and a few other features from the main site but for transfers and checking your points it isn't bad.

my whole bench is Chelsea this week :)

I didn't realise the only effective thing a CM does is score or get an assist in a game, my bad?

Unfortunately that is the case, even if a midfielder has a MOTM game if he didn't score a goal or get an assist the most he can get is 6 points (2 for playing the 90, 1 if his defence keeps a clean sheet & 3 bonus points)

I thought the hazard bonus points were suspect, one game he got 2 assists and 1 bonus point, the next he got 3 assists i think and got 0 , doesnt make sense at all
