*****The OFFICIAL OCUK 2013/2014 Fantasy Football League*****

Ramsey will most likely be out for a few weeks so thought about transferring him out for either Walcott or Podolski and discovered that my sell price is only £6.6m for Ramsey but the cost to buy him in is a million more!? That's crazy. And Pod and Walcott are actually more expensive!? Completely nuts. Will likely keep him, I can't afford to lose a million if I need him back in.

30 for me so far, 25 of which came from Fonte, Lallana and Rodriguez. I finally sub Ivanovic because Chelsea keep leaking goals against **** teams and they win 1-0.

Yeah I'm undecided on Ramsey as I'll only get £6.6m for him too. However, because he has such a ludicrously high ownership (the highest I've ever seen for any player in any season) if he has a long-ish term injury he WILL drop like a stone simply because there are so many people who can potentially sell him, especially as the January wildcard is looming (also bear in mind most people bought him at a higher price so they will get more back for him than us). Within 3-4 gameweeks he could quite likely be priced back below £7m again. On the flip side, the FA cup means only two gameweeks between now and Arsenal's EPL match on 13th of January i.e. it could be that he'll only miss two gameweeks depending on the severity of the injury, PLUS the fact that the next two gameweeks are very short (less than a week in total) which minimises the amount he can drop (max £0.1m per day so the absolute worst case scenario is he can only drop £0.2m before the next GW on Saturday).

You wouldn't be able to transfer him for Podolski anyway as he's a forward.

Bleh, thinking about it this is a tough call. He's certain to miss at least the next two GWs BUT is that worth sacrificing £1m in value by selling him now? Currently erring towards ditching him as after price drops that will hopefully shrink to around £0.5m max, and the opportunity cost of the transfer isn't so concerning given the January wildcard (i.e. bring him back in later in January without needing to take any hits or sacrifice other deals).

General thought I'm having is to keep him. Not many better to replace him, possibly Lallana who's playing well. I think I'll save the transfer and see what happens with his price.

He's already been dumped by 116k people overnight, but I don't think I'll get rid of him as it's too much money to lose and I won't be able to buy him back. At least until we find out how long out he's got, FF seems to think he'll be back in 2-3weeks.

I don't think Ramsey will score anywhere near as many points in the second half of the season. I'd go for Podolski if I thought Wenger would play him personally.

I'm new to FF this season and can anyone please explain why the sell price for Ramsey (7m in my team) is less than the buy price? Doesn't make sense to me?

The more people bring him into their team the higher his value gets. Same in reverse, the more people that get rid his value starts to drop. Unfortunately this isn't reflected in your 'sell' price which is the annoying thing. Get on a good player early and you don't get a lot back.

From the 'Rules' page...
Player prices change during the season dependent on the popularity of the player in the transfer market. Player prices do not change until the season starts.

The price shown on your transfers page is a player's selling price. This selling price may be less than the player's current purchase price as a sell-on fee of 50% (rounded up to the nearest £0.1m) will be applied on any profits made on that player.

For example, if you buy a player for £8.3m and when you transfer him his price is £9.0m, his selling price will be £8.6m.

its tough every week :D cant go with Suarez as captain after the man city game, mind you last time i didn't make him captain after a poor display he got about 40 points.

It's to try and stop you transferring players in and out of your squad as if they were simply substitutes.

Perfect thanks guys that's makes sense nice. I see what hangtime says by not transferring him as if his price doesn't drop then it costs more to get him back. Makes things a lot more difficult. I think I will keep him in my team as I can't afford a better option. Thanks again.

Debating over Silva or Rooney captain this week and ended up on Rooney. Mourinho is going to make sure Suarez is mauled, I don't see him scoring again. Although it is Goofy, so now he will go and get a hat trick to go and really stuff my week up :(

As for Negredo, he might not play this week so I'm tempted to transfer him out for Dzeko just this week. Thoughts?

No Zab, Yaya, Negredo or Rooney.

Another grim week in store. **** off Pellegrini.

Captained Rooney and Viced Dzeko. Come on man, make a blinding start with Silva providing all the assists for you too :D
