*****The OFFICIAL OCUK 2014/2015 Fantasy Football League*****

Buy a cheap striker such as Sakho or Berahino and bulk out the midfield better.

Differentials are the only way to gain points in this game. Everyone has the same big names, everyone gets the same points.

Also, pelle and welbeck for differentials. It's the same problem as last season with suarez and before that with rvp. If you don't have them, you lose. If you do have them you don't lose, but you don't necessarily win either! The only deciding factor then is whether to captain these players or not, as you know 90% of people will be captaining them every week, so if you're shrewd and captain someone else you can come out on top.

Have had Pelle since week 1 and bought Sakho at the same time as Falcao.

I hope next year they somehow make it harder to buy these 'bandwagon' players. You could say it's just been exceptional the last 3 years with RvP then Suarez now Costa. Mind you it's early days still this season. Falcao could (!) turn out to be the points machine

The people that win with bandwagon players are the ones that already own them before they become bandwagon. It's why I quite happily spend a few transfers early on to get on those types of players whilst they're still cheap so that my team value increases faster than it otherwise would. Come January I'll tend to have £110m available with the wildcard, can make all the difference to the run in to the end of the season.

Edit: So Costa may or may not be fit for the weekend. Jose playing mind games again?

loved seeing Aguero not score today... oh how I felt for all those that binned Costa for Aguero this week :-)

Seriously considering outing lukaku for barahino or sakho.. those boys are on fire at the moment..

I thought when you "Sold" players you get back the value of the players?

Ive just tested this and tried removing all my players and I am only getting £100m back?

Whats the point in increasing value of players if you dont get more money while you own them?

Afraid you never get all the profit as a sell on fee is applied.. it makes it difficult , for example in my case I got Di Maria for 9m but now would only get 9.8m for selling him, even though he's over 10m to buy now.. makes it hard to swap him out for a few weeks then buy him back again

Odd that you only got 100m back, although that would be possible if all you prices rises/falls balanced themselves out..

I just removed all my players and got 101.3m back.

Di Maria's cheapest price was 9.5mil not 9mil.

The rule is you get half of the price increase but rounded down. e.g.

Buy price 10
Current price 10.4/10.5
=> Sell at 10.2

I expected a thumping by Southampton, so I benched him over Davis. Oh well, a bad gamble. Still 4th in the league... where are you? ;)

Sitting at a lowly 20ish after capping Aguero for the last 5 weeks except the week he scored 4 :p Had Silva most of last year and he's in the category of "Never bench/Never Captain" for me, similar to players like Baines etc.

Silva weas my main MF last year, my go to man. Disapointing season so far this year. Hopefully he will pick up after this last GW!
