I'd love to know how all the currently elected MPs voted, given they have some sort of say in how this gets ratified.

I can't see how anyone who voted to remain would have their heart in taking us out.Saying that, none of them will want to give up their place at the trough.

So you don't have personal experience at all then. Almost nobody does except those who worked before the EU.

Some people are making the assumption that other European countries won't want British people moving there and will actively try and stop them. There's no evidence of this.

Its a bit ridiculous everyone losing thier **** over the events of the first few hours.

Go grab a beer sit in the sun things will be much more back to normal by tomorrow.

Ftse has already rose back up to only a 4% dip and is showing steady slow growth.

The pound has jumped back up with the boe promises and looks set to slowly rise again.

UK gilts are actually cheaper too. News is not all bad in the slightest.

England: 'We want to leave the EU!'
EU: 'OK, you can if you want to.'
Scotland, Ireland & Wales: 'We don't want to leave!'
England: 'Bad luck, I'm taking you with me whether you like it or not.'

Time passes...

Scotland: 'We want to leave the UK.'
England: 'No, you're not allowed to.'
Ireland & Wales: 'We want to leave too!'
England: 'Bad luck, you're all staying with me whether you like it or not.'

I really hope Scotland get their independence, they shouldn't be dragged down with the likes of us. They could re-join the EU but would have to rebuild Hadrian's wall wall to keep the Remain crew out though :p

Good grief - its almost as bad as before the vote

Leave won - so that's the new rollercoaster we are all riding. There isn't another vote so that's that. Not all those that voted leave are thick/racist/bigots so calm yourselves down and stop being so rude - think what would the Dalai lama say.

It reminds me of just before the coalition started - not much clue whats going to happen but it'll be fine I the end.

There has been a huge smount of speculating going on which is going to screw with prices a little bit.

Gontake a break and come back and then think if youd be acreaming like a girl about what the situation is in a few days

"Only down 4%" - Some of the biggest companies that are held in pensions are down 20%+ today.

It's only being made better by a couple of gold companies being up as they are being hedged.

GBPUSD is down 5.5% as I speak, the 1 minute chart shows a decline over the past hours or so.

This is an awful situation, I don't think you can comprehend just how bad this is.

What happens next? Our financial institutions move their workers to other countries in the EU. We lose out on huge amounts of tax revenues, who plugs the gap?

Some would probably like to but i can't see it happening seeing as the benefits go both ways.
