We cant get a free trade deal without free movement which wont happen as it would undermine the main reason people voted to leave.

We are **** in that regard.

The German manufacturers have already lobbied their government saying they don't want tariffs applied if we exit. They don't care about the politics they want to keep selling stuff to us and money talks.

As the situation in the Middle East stabilises more and more of these people are going to be coming to the West for a better life. With far fewer EU migrants just walking in, I think we're going to be favouring these people.

Who ever comes here they will have to pass our new\old visa system. And I don't think many would pass it.

But has it crashed? No. Is it worthless? No. Yes its worth less than it was yesterday but 1.4 rather than 1.6 isnt the end of the world is it?

I did find the "Market turmoil" a little OTT

Closed at over 61, closed yesterday over 63 as the market expected a remain vote.

Still about the same as a week ago. Higher than it was a month ago. It's likely volatility will continue but I can't see it crashing - as in dropping below say 55.

Pound has dropped but likely to come back. Nothing will happen for a good while and those things that do will be announced in plenty of time.

Maybe this has been the plan all along, We leave the EU and more follow, we setup EU 2.0 and we call the shots :)

I doubt Sweden will leave. The Swedish medias have been moaning all day about how stupid the people in the UK have been. Sweden is actually pretty EU friendly these days since the majority of the leftists have become EU friendly.

...and once again stop comparing it to recent figures which were pricing in the risk of a brexit.

of which there is no guarantee.

It could be a horrible few years and a lot of financial pain for nothing.

Agreed, but i think it likely we will do OK. We have done so for centuries. Im not even sure it will be so much pain. European markets sell a lot to us. They will not want to lose our business.

Granted the exit negotiations will be crucial but i think that the stance of Brussels is a little bit of sabre rattling to be honest.

I guess time will tell, but im optimistic.

I also think it's not a case of the UK failing outside the UK, I think we will be okay eventually. But I think the simple fact is that we've left the EU for seemingly very little good reason :(

This is my sentiment. I view the EU as a positive project that has done a lot of good and wanted the UK to continue to be a part of that. It's easy to dismiss funding for science and the arts as something that doesn't affect you, but you'll miss it when it's gone.

I'm foolishly clinging onto the hope that it's not too late to back out.

I do wish people would stop demonstrating they don't understand markets by saying it's all fine as it's similar to a month ago. The market turmoil has been going on longer than today and was already much lower than it should have been as the market had priced in Brexit risk.

Lol. On what planet will a non EU member be able to get tariff free, free trade in the EU without also having to have free movement (ie like the rest of the members have to have)?

The vitriolic responses from the remain people is bloody disgusting.

Not here but facebook and twitter, talk about sore losers.

The in campaign did not help itself at all with Eddy lizard and scruffy Bob Geldof.

They also kept shouting in debates which scored them no points at all.

British people do not like being shouted at, told what to do or go unheard when voicing opinions.

The EU has paid the price of poking a bulldog with a cattle prod. :p

Me too. Kind of highlights the lack of thought and knowledge that has gone into a lot of the leave votes though.

The UK needs a National Front style government to deliver on the the immigration issue that threatens to completely destroy the UK as we know it.

If UKIP can go on a full attack against minorities and how they are taking everything from the "English Man" we should get a government that can deliver a real solution for the immigration isssue. Also UKIP will be the only party with the guts to kick out non english people to free up school places, GP places, Hospital Beds, Houses and jobs.

England now has the chance to get England back for the English, UKIP need to get up and deliver.

Kick out all non English from England so us English can get jobs.

England for England.....

I mentioned yesterday about the demographics and who would be voting to leave, as I couldn't name a single leave voter save for my nan...

And apparently turns it was actually the 50+ year olds that voted us out, from exit polls! Crazy!

Yes, there was a breakdown posted earlier on age versus vote cast :
