Newcastle polled higher for UKIP in the last general election (12.6 national vs 14.9 for central Newcastle) which indicates a higher proportion of eurosceptics than the base population).

This would imply it's not going to be as close in other regions, but time will tell. (obviously UKIP support doesn't always equal leaving the EU, but you can be pretty confident last years UKIP voters will be pro leave).
