Just received details for this Lego Exhibition:

Featuring over 85 art sculptures created from more than a million LEGO® bricks, these one-of-a-kind LEGO brick sculptures are the work of US artist Nathan Sawaya.

'SO DETAILED. SO INTRICATE. ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT'
Thomas Magill • Radio 2 • Claudia Winkleman’s Arts Show

The artworks on display are large-scale sculptures, many of which are human figures, but also includes a T-Rex skeleton constructed from over 80,000 LEGO® bricks that measures over six metres in length. If you're feeling inspired, the exhibition includes an Interactive Zone inviting young (and old) visitors to get hands-on and have a crack at building your own LEGO® masterpiece.

Wanted this for absolutely ages. Guy in the shop told me it was EOL now too so timed it pretty well.

End of line; they're not making that particular model anymore. I think it's the second iteration of the Falcon (I had the first at one point) but I'm sure there will be another what with the new movies due soon.

I think there's been 3 hasn't there? 2 normal versions and the massive UCS one. The new movies must mean a new version, and I can't wait!

I know there was a massively more complex (expensive) model a while back. That must have been the UCS one.

Why they chose to put a clone trooper on the box for a model from the original trilogy is beyond me.

To display or for a child? I think it's a reasonable build to do in terms of putting together but a terrible build in terms of strength, every time my son touches his parts fall off it. Such a fragile build. Fine if it's display though.

That's just because all sets that year had them on it I think. They seem to go with a theme for a bunch of sets then change it.

It's just going to sit on the shelf. I tend to take sets apart and pack them away so I can get them out and rebuild as something to do.
