***The Official OcUK Lego Thread***

Can I ask, whats the best way of finding the pieces I need in my box? Should I just up-end it and sort into size/shape/colour for a day and move from there?

So being a SWTOR player and a MASSIVE Lego fanboy (always wanted to be a Master Builder as a kid) I picked up my first Lego set in the USA in Nov, the Sith Ship from SWTOR; since then I've picked up some other bits! XD

What's the R2D2 model like to build? Challenging? I'm really tempted to get it but I just hope its a challenging build - it certainly looks the part!

I wish I had enough money for the Super Star Destroyer :(

On any big build I tend to sort first. Makes it much easier finding pieces.

He's not bad. Probably take you a good seven hours if you did him non stop. Internally he has some interesting technic parts, and is about 3 manuals to build. The tecnic parts don't work quite as well as I'd like, but still the internal foot and things are cool features, that do tend to work quite nicely. (It's only the foot that has issues technic wise I found)

That Battle Droid looks awesome!

It does indeed, shame I can't properly build anything until Friday or Saturday as I need to go Poundland for some containers to sort my Lego into so it will be easier to find pieces. I have got a small part of the Naboo Fighter done, a Lego Bionica Model (sp?) and 1/2 the Battle Droid was already built, so I will strip it down and rebuild.

This massive container has been in the shed at my aunties since the turn of the MILLENIUM!!

EDIT: Anyone remember this series of Lego?

He was a really fun build, not massively challenging but a slight mistake could cost you so needs some concentration but a good 7-8hours of building.

If I get the bonus I expect from my old job in March I will prob pick up the SSD and Death Star!

I got out my old lego and built this tonight, 6 hours (though that was finding the bits from a massive unsorted box) - I have to order a few 1x1 black/blue bricks to finish it completely, but I was made redundant at the end of Dec so I have plenty of time to play Lego XD

I'm heading to Poundland today to buy 16 little boxes for £2 to get my HUGE tub sorted into something more manageable and then I can build!

Also I agree on the Droideka being AWESOME, I always wanted it but never got it :(

They also did a Pit Droid in Technic that collapsed when you hit his nose (the Battle Droid has a magnetic gun and the Droideka rolls) there was also a Jango Fett, but no idea what that did...

Just found 5 more Star Wars Lego manuals.

Landspeeder - 7110
Droid Fighter - 7111
Anakins Podracer - 7131
Lightsaber Duel - 7101
Naboo Swamp - 7121

Couldn't resist this at £10... especially since a friend of mine at Christmas caused me to get bitten by the 'Lego Bug' again when she bought me the two little Lego Creator sets in the background!! :)

So much wish I'd not sold all my Lego at a Car Boot sale when I was 15!! I had Tonnes!! all in the 'Official' Lego Grab Bag! :(
